Since Hill Farmstead is no longer holding official release events, please use this thread to post the bottles available on the shelves along with costs, sizes, limits and so forth.

It's OK to include the beers available in growlers too.

As always, looking at the HF retail page

    http://www.hillfarmstead.com/retail/

    or calling the brewery

I'm going to be headed up on friday and I was curious how early people typically show up? Is it ok to get there at like 11 so that maybe you dont have to wait as long once they're opened up?

I wouldn't get there any earlier, going at 11, you'll likely be one of the first 10 people in. Enjoy!

Awesome thanks! Just want to get heading towards Waterbury as soon as possible but don't want to be there too early so as to annoy the HF people...

I was there on Friday and we arrived around 10:40 and were #6&7 in line- nobody seemed annoyed. We got in, did a flight and grabbed 6 growlers + 20 bottles and was out the door by 12:35. We ate tacos from the new taco stand there and I highly recommend them bc they are fantastic! We made it to Hunger Mtn by about 1:45 and at that point about 20 ppl ahead of us. If you are planning doing the same I would try to make it to Hunger Mountain no later than 2:30 to make sure you can grab a case! Enjoy !

This is true. Discussed it in person (different days) with both Shaun and Jean.

BTW, drank a bottle in June and it's tasting better than ever.

Wait, what? Taco stand? When did that happen? Is this run by HF, or by someone else? What kind of tacos? Goddamnit I'm starving. This is the problem with skipping breakfast.

Is this a re-release of CD7 or bottles left over from first time it was sold? I can't get there any earlier than Thursday so I guess it doesn't matter. Hopefully its more than a few cases anyways.

It's run by a girl who said she lives "over the mountain" from HF and owns a farm I think. She's only been doing it for about 3 weeks she said and is there Fri & Sat I believe. Only downside was I couldn't drink the growler of Edward I had just purchased with the tacos. The al pastor tacos were my fav, Also had a chipotle chicken that was great.

Tacos are available everyday with the exception of Wednesday. She plans on closing up shop around October for the winter. Great tacos all around!

Bottles they have been cellaring from the initial batch. They have done this a few times now with bottles they have hung on to. It is generally an indication that the beer is peaking and should be enjoyed soon. They did the same thing with bottles of Jimmy a year or so ago.

Is BA Everett still available? Their tweet from last Friday indicated it'd be gone on Saturday, but it's still on their website. Any insight?

I posted this in another thread:

Per Shaun via Twitter regarding if it sold out: "first 20 or 30 people wednesday will get..."

This was from Aug. 2 in the evening, post close. Someone asked him the status of BA Everett. You can find it on the HF Twitter.

Drank my CD's 6-9 over Memorial Day Weekend - we had a tasting of all
HF bottles in order to skip Beermageddon in Waterbury. Batch 7 was in fact my favorite of all of them, and so glad for a redux!

I've always wondered what this means on the Retail Shop page:

    • Toasted Oak filled with...

Does it mean that you can just fill it up with shelf bottles, or does buying a tote allow you access to other bottles?

Sometimes there are totes filled with beers of their choosing. It's a package deal, the beers come with the tote.

In the past, the totes can be purchased with bottles other than those listed for sale (e.g. madness 1-4, Damon variants, etc) for a significant price.

    Well I can answer my own question...it didn't :slight_frown:

Oh well, I have some Abner and S&S5 to enjoy regardless!

Btw, the only bottle on the shelf as I left was the Lemon Cello thing which is a collab with Mikkeller.

New bottle on the "Upcoming Bottle Releases" under Art and Ann called 'Sue'. My mind is running wild!

Anyone have any knowledge as to what Sue might be?

Usually the shortened names are bal aged or other wise special right? Like Art, Flora, Ann, etc? So my guess is some take on Susan, hard to guess what theyd do to an ipa though

Precisely what I'm thinking. My GUESS would be Shaun will do something similar to his Edward/E. approach.

    E. being a funked up version of Edward which is then barrel aged.

Either way, consider me absurdly excited. Susan is my favorite IPA of Shaun's.

Anyone go today and can report back on estimated amounts of Vera/Florence left? Or how close Abner/S+S5 are to kicking? Going up Friday and would sure love to grab my full limits. "A lot" or "plenty" will do

@markgugs I believe Florence was originally a two case limit. It's down to one case pp so it must be winding down.

I was told that Vera Mae will stay at 2 and last until Saturday. I think Florence is starting to wind down much quicker so would not be overly confident that the 1 case limit remains until Friday.

Man, going up to VT Saturday just keeps looking more and more bleak... First the farmer's market gets cancelled, now it's looking like Florence might be gone, and possibly even Vera Mae too... If I end up driving 800+ miles round trip for only a couple Sip of Sunshine bottles and 3 HF growler fills I'll be pretty disappointed =/ Don't get me wrong, it's all fantastic beer, but I've had everything on tap multiple times other than Friendship & Devotion, and I've had SoS as well. Normally I would just wait for another weekend to go, but after this weekend it will be at least a month before I'm free to go up.
