Since Hill Farmstead is no longer holding official release events, please use this thread to post the bottles available on the shelves along with costs, sizes, limits, and so forth.

It's OK to include the beers available in growlers too.

As always, looking at the HF retail page
    http://www.hillfarmstead.com/retail/

    or calling the brewery
    802-533-7450

are your best sources for up-to-date information.

hey guys, I just saw that Twilight of the Idols is still listed on HF's "onward" section (future bottle releases section) under bottle releases. I'm hoping to get a few bottles but don't think I'll make it this week and I'd bet it runs out soon. should I take this as an indication that they're doing another run of Twilight of the Idols or do you all think that they simply forgot to remove it from the "onward" section? thanks!

Going up Saturday, pretty much accepting the fact that Twilight will not be available, but I can hope

Limit is still 6pp/per day... I will shocked if it doesn't make it to Sat.

In the past twilight was a staple on draft during the winter. I would be surprised if he didn't rebrew it a couple more times.

Guess they read this post cause they removed it lol. Also updated the "On-site" section with Elaborative 4. I wonder if they are still pouring CD15 since they didn't add it while updating

Elab 4 was so odd - nice nose, great flavor...and no finish at all. Just gone. Literally disappeared completely after each sip. Great for a summer seasonal - but very perplexing! After the CD13, it was the ultimate palate-cleanser.

I apologize if this is a common question but I am planning on going to Hill Farmstead tomorrow. Would you guys recommend doing Lost Nation or Worthy Burger for lunch after? Perhaps somewhere else? I haven't been to either and they both seem to be great spots.

Lost Nation is awesome and if you are heading back to Waterbury/Stowe it'll be on your way. The food at Lost Nation is fantastic.

big fan of lost nation food. if you have time though, i'd say go to parker pie instead (its about 25 minutes further away from where you're likely heading back to, but 100% worth it).

Depends on what route you are taking for sure. If you are heading up 93 to 91 and returning that way then Parker Pie will be your best bet as it will be the least out of your way. If you are headed down 100 to 89 (or wherever) then you can't go wrong with Lost Nation (so everyone says, I have not been yet but certainly believe the folks who say it is great) or Worthy Burger, or one of the stops in Waterbury.

I really appreciate all the advice! I also wanted to add, for anyone curious, that I tweeted at Hill Farmstead to see how the stock of Twilight was doing and he said he brewed a ton this year and expects it to last another few weeks.

On Weds., Dec. 9, during normal retail hours, we're excited to release Flora aged on blueberries, black currants and raspberries.

A few barrels of Flora were selected, and that beer was aged further on a blend of fresh, hand-picked berries from Greensboro and East Hardwick.

    $20 per bottle
    4 per person

So I have a friend going up to HF this weekend. Thoughts on Flora and Twilight still being available based on past releases? Flora is a pretty generous 4 bottle limit.

I haven't been up since June but I'm thinking of heading up for this Flora release. Are they still doing the order cards that you fill out and take to the register?

  27. aabuhanna

    aabuhanna Initiate (0) Aug 29, 2014 Connecticut

    No.

There's two shops now. The new building is the tasting room and growler fills. It's actually chaotic. I would STRONGLY recommend you drop your growlers off first. When I was up for the CD15 release, it took 45 minutes for the first person in line's growlers to get filled because there is no limit. People bring like 30 growlers to get filled and they only have one person doing it.

The old space is strictly bottles and merch.

Most likely definitely be good for Flora; Twilight is TBA because there's no hint as to how much is left.

When you walk into the new space they have a deli ticket machine right there. They also have an electronic sign on the wall that indicates the ticket they are currently filling. So grab a ticket immediately and then get bottles or some pours or whatever while you wait for your number.

When I was there the Saturday after Thanksgiving it was not very busy, but they had about 5 people available to fill at the three different sets of taps. The most popular beers are running multiple taps so as long as they are properly staffed I would think they should keep things moving along a lot better than they used to even if it is crowded.

    Have fun!

They run a tight game now, it has really improved. With Flora coming on this week I am sure they are expecting many people and will be prepared for that. Of course if people show up wanting 20-30 growlers then all you can do is wait.

    1. Pick a number
    2. Grab a drink
    3. Get your bottles
    4. Enjoy your drink till the your number comes up

FYI they said they would have Flora on site so that plus 4pp probably means they are good through Sat. on Flora

Flora is super good but I don't think it's $20 375ml good. Honestly I don't really think anything is $20 a glass good.

Also added officially to on site list is Flora B/B/R... Eager to see the price on that

HF had a ticketed system for Flora Cuvee back in September, right? Required the ticket holder to show up on a specific day and with ID in order to claim their one bottle. I did not get a ticket, but that seemed to work (as it has for Dark Lord, etc).

Is Flora always a 375ml release? Thought they were 500ml or 750s in the past?
