I think all of the saisons are a pretty amazing value. A 750 of Anna or Arthur for $10 might be the best deal going. If I were to pay $20.00 for those beers at a bottle shop, I cannot say that I would be disappointed.

They hold up really, really well in the pantry or cellar- better than many other more expensive local options. Makes for a great celebratory treat without breaking the bank.

I would not pay $20 for any 750 ml. However, if I was going to spend that, I think hf would be the brewery I would buy from. They never disappoint.

I am definitely in the minority here but Dorothy is my favorite HF "shelf" saison/farmhouse/pale ale. Table Dorothy is a blessing from the gods. I wish I had an endless supply of Table Dorothy for the Summer.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, I can go through the whole thread and a possible trip up this weekend just became a possibility. Is Beyond Good & Evil still available?

The website is kept up-to-date. They still have it a 1PP limit.

I see Double Citra cans will be available this week which makes me really wanna make the trip up. What have the limits usually been for the ipa cans.

Understandably, each week is different, but is there a "typical" number of days that the cans usually last?

If you go on Wednesday the limits have typically been higher. The week of the Beyond Good & Evil release, there was no limit on cans of Society & Solitude 8 and Mosaic IPA. It seems they start to impose a limit later in the week to make the beer last.

I was gifted one back at the beginning of October but never checked the bottle closely...bottled April 2017, suggested to drink within 6 months...still in my fridge. I'm sure it will still be good but wish I had checked the bottle sooner.

Are you referring to M&C? I've only had MC10, and I actually like it a month+ later. I'm sure it's great.

Yes, sorry for not being clearer...I think it is a 10 as it says Batch 10 on the bottle. Other than that and the bottling date I couldn't find anything to distinguish it. Will be cracking it soon and will let you know what I think...even though it's nearly a year old.

As long as it was stored properly, high-gravity, barrel-aged beers like MC10 are going to be good -and sometimes optimal- after sitting for well over that period of time.

Madness 10 was released in early October I think. It was there for sale when I visited last. So the bottled date shouldn't matter with the 6 months notice. You're good

#10 was available for onsite this past Saturday: #10>---#9

Reason being the barrel character, which was skillfully crafted in #10 and a distant memory in #9: could be missed, if not on the lookout. Nonetheless, the notes, layers, and complexity really shined here with bitter dark chocolate, tobacco, molasses, licorice, and toffee. The profile and depth is endless, as more caramel elements, smoky undertones, vanilla, and leather come about with time lapses.

It’s thick and chewy yet sharp, extremely well balanced and proficiently unified with the right amount of heat - makes the feel on #9 seem like sludge: sticky, creamy, thick, and bold. In retrospect, #9 caught me off-guard, as it was the closest thing to a pastry stout Hill has come to. Granted, not overly cloying yet very sweet nonetheless

In sum, @Takeanotherswing makes a good argument, as #10 set a high bar for the succession. So, will see how #11 pans out –

Tonight I drank my last Mary from my visit in September.. held up amazingly well. Zero signs of degradation as far as I can tell.

    Just thought I’d share.

Counting down the days until my next visit. Man I wish I wasn’t 2500 miles away.

It's rough up here for sure. If your car isn't great in the snow, then take your time heading there (and if it is good in the snow, you should probably take your time anyways).
