Would love to have a Hazelnut week!

 

Does anyone know what barrel(s) were used for the anniversary set?

 

I think they had stated in earlier info that a blend of different barrels was used

 

I thought I saw that but couldn't find again to verify. Wasn't sure if they divulged as to what specific barrels were used. Thanks for the info.

A combination of 2-4 year Old Granddad Barrels and some Jim Beam Devils Cut barrels.

A kind of quick note about tomorrow morning -

TL;DR - We will have all of beers available in bottles (8 AM) and draft (5 PM), and we are happy about that.

Nothing will be sold out before tomorrow morning and there have a been a few folks asking about buying the set. We sold 4 variants today, it went pretty smoothly, we are going to do our best to handle selling all 5 tomorrow, it likely means the line might move a little slower but it wasn't too bad today. With our increased barrel space and production and thus a very healthy supply of bottles, I think a lot of people have decided to skip the line and show up an hour late (or more) - still a solid plan for tomorrow. Draft, same deal, plenty of it, we didn't roll draft over to the next day but we are far from out of anything and will have everything tapped on Friday at 5 and it is very likely it lasts through the weekend and maybe well beyond.
With half hearted apologies to the black market dealers and trade winners, we started filling more barrels last year and now anybody worried about what other people are doing, mules, homeless mules, line jumping, its all pretty irrelevant for this release and hopefully for many releases to come. We know without that 1 bottle limit the beers don't have that rare, collectible taste anymore, we still like them though and hope you all have enjoyed this week so far!

After Doug's Announcement a Homeless Lives Matter Movement started and immediately demanded Cycle start limiting their bottle amounts again

 

So funny. It was wild yesterday, walked up at 7:55 AM and wasn't even to the BofA driveway. That is a strange occurrence.

 

How was the Vietnamese?

 

Noticed a few people online trying to peddle bottles for a profit.

 

I had the Vietnamese on draft last night. Really enjoyed it. Nice mouthfeel, lots of coffee and smooth as can be

 

This was coffee. Just wait till they throw Vanilla, Coconut or Hazelnut out there again. It'll be back to status quo.

It was really nice to be able to walk into Cycle this afternoon, five days after the beginning of the release, and get all five bottles (and drafts). Nice and chill in the place, no problem finding seating or getting beer. I really hope all future releases go like that.

 

Cracked a JBM today. It's damn sexy.
