I would guess no. I could be wrong, but Doug does not want to have lines and huge crowds that's why he does the 8:00 releases. Particularly on a Saturday, plus he is releasing 2 more DB on the next Saturdays, plus the anniversary weeklong releases. People's wallets won't be able to take it anymore! Wallet fatigue

This morning was my first wtf beer moment. It absolutely poured and at times the lightning was pretty bad. I must have asked myself 10 times, "Is this really worth it?"

I got there at 11. Grabbed 4 bottles. Out in 2 minutes.

Still about 14-15 cases beside the bar at 1:30 and no line

Guess they brought more out....as of 2:45 there were ~20 cases next to the bar. Have it on tap too. A lot lighter on the cinnamon than I was expecting, but drinking really well.

I was right there with you. Got a hotel last night for a concert and then walked to the bottle release in the morning. Once it started pouring, I was instantly soaked and a good 10 minute walk back to the hotel so I just stuck it out. After I got back to the room and dried off it was funny. A full blown thunder storm and pretty much no one moved an inch. The dumb shit we do for beer.

So what exactly made this beer so much less popular than DB Vanilla? Was it the higher bottle count? Or do people just like Vanilla that much more than Cinnamon? Maybe im the odd ball but I prefer this bottle over the vanilla.

Yeah this is actually better if you aren't a vanilla fanboy. This has better mouthfeel. Not heavy on cinnamon but it's there. But yes, higher limits combined with multiple other stupid reasons. Vanilla was the first double barrel they put out so people went crazy initially over it. People also know hazelnut is releasing next week and I think in order of preference it would be 1. Vanilla 2. Hazelnut 3 cinnamon. A little bit of bottle fatigue and people still have anniversary week coming up.

I spoke to Doug briefly Sat. He said the bottle counts for all of the DB variants are about the same. This line was much shorter than the Vanilla line. That is most likely why the limit was 6 and I think there are still bottles available for when they open today. I think it being Cinnamon has alot to do with it. I anticipate the lines for Hazelnut to be along the same as Vanilla.

How does DB cinnamon compare to big adventure?

I don't think Hazelnut will be the same as Vanilla. A lot of people don't like hazelnut, the hazelnut Trademark Dispute lasted forever. I'll still be showing up early, but only so I can get on with my day sooner.

Big adventure is very underrated. Give an edge to big adventure but this is very good as well.

Well a big reason why I skipped it was that it was just Big Adventure without the Chiles and Cocoa for the same 30 dollar price point which made no cents at all..it's strange how Cycle released the fanciest version of this beer first and then is releasing 3 lesser versions of it later and 2 of those are going to cost 5 dollars more...skipping the next 2 releases as well and waiting for Anniversary Week

I would have done the same if I was able to get Big Adventure bottles, but really liked it on draft. That was one of two bottles I missed that week.

When comparing to Big Adventure they are very similar minus the heat from the pepper on the finish.

Pretty safe to assume August 14-18 but it has not been officially announced yet

It has been announced. They are releasing something on their anniversary date and then for the rest of the week as well..

    Per their Facebook...

"Anniversary - Our tasting room on Central turns 4 on August 15th! That is a Tuesday, we will have bottles starting that day for the rest of the week, details and probably some photos of those will come up in the next few weeks. We will then finally take a break from releases probably, a couple months without our shenanigans seems in order."

I read the post on their Facebook that their week long bottle releases start on Tuesday the 15th. Does anyone know if they plan to do anything on that Monday?
