As of 3:30pm there are still bottles in the cooler but not sure how many in the back.

I just picked up two bottles about an hour ago, they were refilling the cooler when I walked in.

Had a 5oz pour of it. It was good, nothing crazy but it's good. It got better with some temperature, more cognac as the temp raised. I enjoyed it more when it got warmer.

It was good, a little thinnner then I think of a Zhukov. I dug the Nuts and Nibs. Big and chewy with a sweet/nutty hit before it finished bitter and roasty.

I just got two bottles about ten minutes ago. They had maybe 20 in the cooler and a stack of boxes next to the cooler, and were just starting to restock.

I got there right at 11am and bypassed the line to get a pour of the Cognac before waiting. I was third or fourth person to get a pour. Not sure what was up, but it was pouring much warmer than everything else at the back bar (or from the bar where they were doing the bottle release). It was the first time I've ever had a stout pour from CCB that wasnt ice cold. It was the perfect temperature (probably 60 degrees) and the barrel character was amazing.

I think the problem is CCB pours everything very cold (which makes sense the majority of their traffic is in the core beers and for tourists) which isn't ideal for stouts.

Yes. Along with the AC release and the Garagiste release

I think the plan is AC first... then get in line at Gar.... If you go to Cycle first you may not get a bottle at Gar (1000 bottle batch)
Then run to Cycle as there will certainly be bottles available.

I'm thinking the Cycle early crowd line will be quite a bit thinner Saturday than the past two DB Saturday releases. The bulk of the "Zombie Horde" will hit Angry Chair first, then possibly Gargiste if you're into mead or flipping stuff, then trickle on over to Cycle if their wallets aren't already empty. Call it the @FrankenMiller playbook from two posts above.

Wonder how early people who are not going to ac will line up at garagiste?

Gotta get there early! For every hour you wait it raises the value that much more!

Is the AC release like Cycle, where if you are in line at the time of the release, you are going to get the beer? Or do you have to show up really early?

Similar to Cycle, usually see Ryan take a head count right before release time and they then announce bottle limits so everyone who's in line gets an allocation.

I've been to just about every release for AC and if you're in line at time of release, you'll get beer.
The only time it's even close is during IGCCC and beer week.
