though I dont understand your post (and my wife comes with me every year and only drinks about 20% of the DL allotment), I'm talking about a specific dude here in chicago that has like his nieces and kids cut into lines or does something as mentioned like buy multiple tickets to multiple sessions (against the rules as outlined by FFF). If you knew this dude, you'd understand.....you don't wear a fedora do you?

 

Ive been in there the past few years, but didnt feel like waiting in line last year... didnt even notice that they were closed, my bad.

There was a steady stream of line jumpers on the far left side. But you are absolutely correct, they do it because they can get away with it.

Yeah, as much fun as the bottle share was in line, I think I'm going back to my showing-up-after-gates-open policy so I can make it through the day. Plus, I have to be alive enough to make it to the Black Lips show that night.

You have to take a break if you intend to go all day, take an hour off and sober up.

 

Too many people tried being too tough last year... let to broken bottles and running into my tables. Overall, great time though. Should be a mess again this year... Hopefully its not -10 out.

Read through this entire post and saw no one mention this. If I want to bring my girlfriend (she doesn't like stouts and I do not want her allotment) is buying her a $30 ticket the only way of getting her into DLD?

I'm sure someone here would happily take her allotment off your hands for you.

 

Yes and no. You can take her to the event and set up outside of the ticketed area. You will still find plenty of sharing opportunities. You can go in, get your allotment, and come back out. That's an option if it's the only way you get to go.
