I'll be arriving into Dayton on 1/15 with over 1/2 a day to look for beer. Any suggestions on what i might be on shelves or hitting shelves. Or where I should drive to? I do have to either ship the beer back or pack it in my luggage. Here is what I have so far:

From what I've heard, Hopslam looks to be released on the 15th around Ohio.

Liquor and wine warehouse has a pretty nice selection and i would go there over miami valley just because miami valley, while having good beers, has a much smaller selections. Belmont is very good also, larger selection of imports and probably a bit bigger selection overall than liqour and wine. For beer selection i would skip arrow and havent been to the others listed. but either of the two i mentioned above should get you set up pretty well with what is available around here.
Belmont probably also has more of the local cincinnati beers as well as any special releases that have recently come out

My first suggestion would be to not get stabbed. Good luck with that one.

Second piece of advice would be to go to Belmont. I loved it there.

    Third piece? Don't get shot.

Although they are just getting started with bottling so there probably won't be anything ready to ship back home, you should visit the Dayton Beer Company on Dorothy Lane if you have time to drink a pint or have a few tastings. Great beer and generally a nice variety on tap.

Belmont has a large selection. Arrow probably isn't worth the trip although it is close to DBC.

Belmont has a very good selection of singles, too. Make sure you check at the counter - some of the limited release stuff is there.

Arrow Lyons Rd has a growler station.

Chappy's Tap Room & Grille always has a great draft selection. Check out http://chappystaproom.com/Pages/BeerListDraughtsAvailable.htm

    Current draft options include:
    Ballast Point Victory at Sea
    Dark Horse Thirsty Trout Porter
    Great Lakes Blackout Stout
Left Hand Brewing Fade to Black Volume 4
    To-Ol Snowball Saison
    Petrus Winter #9
Left Hand Brewing Fade to Black Volume 4
    Jolly Pumpkin Noel de Calabaza
    Blaugies La Moneuse Speciale Noel

Chappy's is having a Hop Slam release on Monday Jan 14 @ 6pm - it will probably be gone before you get to town. They are tapping Left Hand Ambidextrous II Smoked Doppelbock @ 6pm and Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar on Tuesday night @ 7pm.

Belmont is the spot for bottles/cans. Highly unlikely that you will find something anywhere else that they do not have, and they will have stuff no one else does. Spend your entire half-day there.
