Great, looks like I'll be getting extra packs for myself and trade.
Do they usually have stuff in the tasting room that doesn't make it to distro? I love that IIPA, but it's kind of out of the way if it's just going to end up on a shelf.
This is what is going to be available on Saturday. My personal opinion? Yonder Cities Farmhouse or Colliding Hemispheres growler fill might be worth it. Also, Oak Penn Quarter Porter is really good. If not, you can always get a freakin' case of OTWOA! It will be worth the drive.
I'm all set, thanks guys!
Official Pricing is in!
$13 for 64oz growler fill of either Colliding Hemispheres, St. Josephs Tripel, or Yonder Cities Farmhouse IPA.
$10 for 64oz growle fill of either Public, Corruption, or Citizen.
$6 for a bomber of Penn Quarter Porter
$10 for a bomber of Oaked Penn Quarter Porter
$10 for a six pack cans of either Public, Corruption, or Citizen.
$18 for a six pack of OTWOA
This batch is still brewery-only. We assume that it will eventually hit retail, but for now, you're gonna have to make the trip.
This freaking thing is a road block in the city - http://runrocknroll.competitor.com/usa - yeah traffic!
If anybody wants to trade some out West let me know. I'm in Oregon, looking for 2 cans and maybe some other DC brews or other locals. Thanks.
And this http://www.shamrockfest.com/
Waiting until later in the day is probably the best option if you want to avoid traffic.
I always take 295 down to NY Ave, and then cut back around behind the new Costco. Then South Dakota Ave back to 295 to 395 to head home..
Why the price hike on OTWOA since last release?
They said that Falconers Flight Hops are harder and more expensive to come by... I don't know if that is a lame excuse for a hype tax or an valid excuse. I don't homebrew so I can't comment of the availability of FF Hops
It was about that if I remember...
I suspected FF was the culprit. The last release was growler only. Premium growler fills are $13. I understand canning is more expensive than draft, but I doubt it adds 25%
I would gladly pay $5 more for 8 more ounces if I don't have to drink all of the beer in one sitting as I would with a growler. Can we quit bitching about the prices people!? Cans of OTWOA!!!
Im at a crossroads. I really wish they could tell me the abv of Yonder Cities so I know if I should get Colliding Hemispheres, Yonder Cities, or Corruption.
Either way it's 12 cans of OTWOA, and a growler fill of something.
Have you tried BA PQP?
I would love to try it, but I need to save SOME money for the Barrel Aged Horn Dog release at Flying Dog Brewery haha
Yeah, I remember my buddy picked me up 6 bombers and it was $10 per if I remember right last time.
That beer is really good. I picked up 6 last weekend, a couple for me and a handful for trades, and plan on scooping up a couple more on Sat.
What are you talking about? Last time it was $10 for a bomber and growler fills were $25 (prior to that they were $13 though).
Falconer's Flight is the new White Unicorn Tears.
Oh ya, you're right, that happened around the Super Bowl?
If my math is correct, $10 bomber = $0.45/oz. $18 6 pack = $0.25/oz. Yes please.
Where's the new costco? I know how to get from 295 to NY ave, but where do I go from there?
any idea what time doors open
My plans got all sorts of messed up. If there is anyone who can pick me up 2 x sixpacks of OTWOA and a bomber of Oaked PQP I can either paypal you before hand, or bring money to an exchange.
Live in VA, work in MD (Greenbelt/College Park area) so will come to you if you can help me out.
Beyond pissed at this spanner in the works
The lineup for this at 12:15 is huge.. this is crazy..
Leaving the house now, I'm sure it's gonna be a shitshow!
Thanks for the tip! I'm using your super secret way
They started putting out limts on the wings, 1 case per person now.
Just left, line was about 60 deep not including those already inside. Yonder cities was delicious...
I concur on the Yonder, nice stuff.
Agreed, got a growler of Yonder - superb!
Thanks to all who offered to pick some up for me. MattNelson came through for sure and just picked some up from him and will be trying it for the first time!
I also would like to say a massive thanks to MattNelson, I had planned on going in but due to a last minute unforseen spanner in the works I couldn't make it.
Came up big for me. As was said in A streetcar named desire, I have always relied on the kindness of strangers.
Still cans available? My buddy can't get there until this coming Saturday. Still looking for just a 4-pack if anyone would like to work something out.
