Someone should call TW and WF and post the answer here.
If you are in Northern Virginia, don't bother calling. It is not out in the market yet. It will most likely be next week, but there is a small chance it ends up being the week after that. The ABC pricing issue really screwed up the BW.
Wait, they have 2012 BCS at World of Beer? In bottle or keg? That doesn't seem right...
Just the regular for 2012 and in a bottle.
Nice! They apparently kept it from last year so they could put some out this year. Get it while you can!
The price was like a gut punch.
i'm gonna hit the place in del ray this afternoon in the snow. government shut down. home. gotta take advantage.
Looks like WoB is all out of the rye, my girlfriend just called and the guy said all that's left is coffee and 2013
Wine Planet in Del Ray is out of Coffee, still has standard @ 7 dollars a bottle no limit. Still has Abraxas as well @ 23 a bottle.
TW Sterling has some more BYR
Did they get as much as they got last time?
Magruder's in Chevy Chase got Barleywine and regular today. I think they got 5 cases of the Barleywine, 1 4pack per person limit, $23.
Any more left? Just leaving work in a few.
Rodman's has more Rye and BW in today.
Got the last of the coffee at Tysons Lost Dog but they still had 5 cases of the regular.
No more Backyard at Rodman's, but they still have BW, 2 bottle limit.
Hit Richmond yesterday.
This. And more hit today. Definitely in the state now.
Indeed. Just not in NoVA yet. Looks like a very high likelyhood that it'll flood the market next week.
Any word on more Backyard flooding the NoVA market?
Not gonna happen. I think there are maybe a handful of cases to go out. So a spot or two is gonna end up with a case each. I wouldn't necessarily consider that flooding, but there will be another shot or two to get some if you haven't gotten your fill.
We only got 12 cases of Backyard in RVA. We will always be the red headed step child to DC/NOVA unfortunately
So probably about the same amount as coffee that we got in the area?
Almost to the case. Almost everyone that got coffee is going to get barleywine.
They've had it since sometime in September, I guess they just didn't put it on the shelf till now.
WF Clarendon now has regular on the floor in the beer aisle. 24.99/4 pack guess they didn't sell out at the bar
Any word on if they still have BYR left today? Do you know how much it was and what the limit was?
I fear the prices for both of these "events".
U St Wine & Beer has bout 5 cases of BCBS and a few bottles of Backyard Rye left.
same here, I've been to both places a few times and my wallet hurt afterwards. Some of the prices are absurd and have stopped going to both places.
I went in there yesterday around 7 and asked him, and he said they didn't have anything but regular... It's not the normal, older guy that knows me (who would've sold me one) but that ticks me off that he lied like that.
Tonight WF Old Town: by the glass and growler fills, should be some package left as well.
Whole Foods Georgetown has barleywine and lost of regular left.
They also just got fresh Lunch and 2 cases of Black Ops.
I didn't realize there was a Whole Foods in Georgetown.
So I'm guessing Coffee is long gone in MD? Never did end up finding a single (or 4pk).
My guess is it will be available at Dawson's release tomorrow and Frisco's in Columbia has it on their menu (in bottle) if you are so inclined to have one at a bar.
RIPS in Bowie may have some left. I'd give them a call.
Glover Park is a more appropriate name, given the location, but no caché.
