Was wondering if anyone has had this, and if so what their thoughts are? I just got a bottle and am just curious. (I have read the BA reviews, but looking for the locals to chime in)

I've had it thru the rare beer club and thought it was damned good. Drink it now. No reason to wait.

I don't think the locals got any of this, in all honesty.

I believe, over here, the only way to get it was Rare Beer Club. I think it was bottled/distributed by De Proef Broewerji.

Yeah, I got it through the Rare Beer Club, considering getting more it was so good. My wife enjoyed it, which is bizarre because she hates literally every beer I bring home that isn't Blue Moon or Stella.

Annnnddd I just bought two more bottles. Apparently tropical trippels are my thing now. Please send me literally nothing else in trades.

Side note: The Rare Beer of the month club is pretty great.

I mean, you're not going to get whales in the mail, but most of what i've had is good quality. Recently they've had Prairie Noir, Seizoen Bretta, etc. A nice "set it and forget it" two 750's a month for like 45 bucks which has shipping included. Not for everybody I guess, but works for me.

No doubt, I am sure you get some cool stuff on occasion. I just think the price is a bit high for what you get. We get pretty good distribution in FL these days, so it's hard for me to justify $22.50 a 750 for most of what they offer. For $45 I like to think I can get twice the amount local and guarantee that it is beer I enjoy.

But everyone is different so if it works for you, do it!

They give you the opportunity to switch out a beer with a past offering if something isn't to your liking. I've been happy with it.

and completely skip months if there is nothing of interest of you. You're not locked in to buy something every month

    I was referring to FL.

I believe some hit the Carolina's as well. Forget the distributor but i know i heard one got some around there.

No worries... Just found it odd that you'd have to be in a rare beer club down there to buy it, but would be able to walk into a liquor store in Chicago and buy it... Granted my store got one case.. But still

It's all about distribution. Can you walk in your store and get CCB? Probably not (legally anyway), just like i can't get Three Floyd's, sadly.

JJ Taylor for Tampa and I'm guessing Brown for the rest of FL.
