DFH Higher Math

It's been here since last week. I got mine at Capone's and a buddy got his at Bottles & Cans.

 

I'm on the lookout in the metro Detroit area too.

 

We get ours in NW Indiana tomorrow, so would think you should be soon. But who knows between states.

 

Dogfish has all but gone Rogue. They need to get back to basics

 

Had this on draft last night. Crazy beer, but I dig it.

 

Curious where this is on draft?

 

Clubhouse BFD in Rochester Hills, MI. They had a "20 Beers for 20 Years" Dogfish Head event yesterday. This was one of 20 on draft. 120 Minute, World Wide 2014 and Fort were a few others which I had the good fortune of trying.

 

$4 for a 4oz pour isn't actually too bad for BFD. Was expecting much worse.

 

Holiday market just got it in.

 

Any Chicago updates? I've been too a few Binny's but they weren't sure when they'd see it.

 

@BEERschlitz let me know if you can't find any in GR and I might just surprise you with one at Oddside

 

Bottles & Cans had it earlier this week.

 

i have yet to see any in Kzoo... but this week will be rough to pop for a $11 bottle with all the BCBS and Oddside stuff on the horizon

 

I'm sure this stuff will age nicely, but it was one of the best high ABV beers that I've ever had. Super, super tasty already.

 

Capones still had single bottles for sale when I was there Tuesday.

Binnys Highland Park had it today, had to ask, 2 bottle limit

 

Its been around EL/Lansing this week, picked up a 4 pack as it got dropped off. Its a great beer.

 

Got lucky, picked up another 4 last night. Still cannot believe the ABV on this stuff.

 

Found a few bottles but at $8.99 a bottle I passed to keep the budget focused on BCBS.....and my goal of still scoring a bottle of Pappy.

 

The Binny's Grand store had about 8 bottles of this earlier today, no limit.

 

I would've had a hard time passing it up for $8.99 a bottle as it seems to be going for $10.99-$11.99 a bottle where I was able to find it. Then again, I can understand the BCBS hunt (although my hunt is more BCBCS and Prop - The latter which I know I won't be able to get in Michigan).

So what are your thoughts on the beer? I have a bottle in the main fridge, and a bottle in the cellar for a later date but want to know what you guys think of this. I had a few guys at the Hipster Brunch release tell me it's a love it or hate it kind of beer (which I typically enjoy at the least).

 

I.....hated it. I tried to like it but couldn't. Not sure what to do with the other 2 bottles. Wondering if the harsh favors will mellow out over time. A long time. So I could age them for science I suppose. Or find someone in the love it camp.
