Also my goal is to fund Prairie 100% on my own. My brother and I started Prairie out of our mom's house with 3k and a credit card.

I want to make this event, having beers with Cory from Perennial that afternoon in Tulsa. I'll see if he can hook me up with a few things to bring.

Drinking my first Prairie Ale as I type, Standard. This is quite delicious and hits the nail on the head as a "hoppy farmhouse ale". I love the label. I had this beer sitting in my fridge for almost a week and never even noticed the label until now, hilarious!

Edit: Keep churning out brews like this and I don't think you'll have a problem funding it 100% on your own :). My OK trading partner is about to become much more busy, haha.

Just scored a couple of bottles of the Karbach Bourbon Barrel Hellfighter, and I have a Rodenbach 2010 Oak Aged.
    That work?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think these tastings are more about BA's getting together, meeting each other and sharing beer. Not everyone trades for various reasons. It would be very "un-BA" to exclude people because they don't have some rare or out of state beer. If you trade or have access to out of state beer, bring it. If not, don't worry about it and bring some local tasty beer. Let's just relax and have a good time. Hell, I've participated in tastings when people bring Rogue Dead Guy ;). We still had a great time.

If anyone is on the fence about attending please read Brad's thoughts above.

If you love good craft just be there. If you have something fun to pop please do. (BA Hellfighter and Rumpkin are sick additions BTW). If you don't have something you think worthy bring food; a pizza, tamales, etc. (Matt-is bringing in food ok?). There will be plenty of beers and best case we run out of bottles to pop and we start on C&G's taps.

Don't forget to bring your empty growlers peeps to fill and tip out hosts well! We are very lucky to have them host

How did you know it was only one bottle? You're automatically assuming the guy is cheap.

I am 100% on board with this. If you trade and have a nice stash at home and you don't bring something you're a dick. If you're new to the game or just don't trade bring something newish/exciting and show up. If you want suggestions, you're somewhat intimidated, worried about what ever, please do not hesitate to contact me... I won't be a dick

I'm going to try to make it to this, sounds like a good time. Unfortunately, most of my best stuff had to be consumed before the wife and I packed up and moved to Texas (didn't want to transport it across the country). If can make it, I plan on bringing things not available in Texas:

New Glarus Wisconsin Belgian Red (the best fruit beer known to humankind)
    Lakefront Holiday Spice Lager
    Summit Batch 11: Old 152
    August Schell's Snowstorm 2012
Green Flash Grand Cru (haven't seen this one in TX yet, saw they had label approval in '08 though on the TABC website)

Otherwise, I'll put those aside for another possible bottle share in the future.

Noon is the start time. Preparty on a Sunday in Texas might be hard but what do you have in mind?

I was thinking of an "After Party" sober up session at a near by locale. I believe there's a pretty good pizza place near by. I haven't had the time to make any calls or any sort of planning though.

You really don't need to bring all of that but it would be nice to finally meet you.

It would be great to meet some other BAs in the DFW area, I'm sure we've bumped into each other at different bars at different times, not knowing who each person is. I figure the more the merrier, the NG WBR is 750mL, the other bottles are 12oz each, no problem bringing them. Just hope it works out, I'm still figuring out my schedule for that week.....

Can someone bring nametags, if they own them please? :) I think they work out really well at the Freetail gatherings I've been to in recent months.

    Cheers,
    Chad

I'll be bringing Dirty Bastard, Expedition Stout, and Merry Monks in 12 oz bottles. Deciding on a fourth bottle. I realize 12 oz bottles are kind of wack in such a big tasting since everyone won't get to taste them but being non whalez I figure people might want to pass on a tripel :p

We're a little over a week out and we're already at 12. If you haven't already, please make sure to go to the event and click that you are attending. Not 100% necessary, I understand it will be a last minute decision for some.

Here's a link to the event DFW Bottle Share - Craft & Growler Dallas

I've been beer mailed asking me if I could make the next bottle share further west or in Ft Worth. Let me say that this is not "my event". Anyone is more than welcome to plan these things at venues that are closer to your area, like our people coming all the way from Ft Worth. At this time I do not plan on making any events out there, it's just not my area and I don't know what's what out there. You are not stepping on my toes and I'll be more than happy to offer you my 2¢.

If it isn't on the shelf here it's great to bring always and forever. Add BB#1 and you have a pants party and we are all invited.

On that last one...dang it would be nice if there was some BB#2 to sample...hint hint to a certain BABA (bad ass beer advocate) ;) just kidding...well...sort of unless it could actually happen...
