There have been a lot of changes and additions to the park recently - all of them good for hopheads.

There is no beer sold in Disneyland. Moving on...

Disney's California Adventure - here we go. Pictures are from a camera phone - excuse the quality.

    Map

Walking through the main entrance, one of the first buildings you'll see is the new Carthay Circle structure. As you enter the building, go left into the new lounge area. Menu pic http://imgur.com/SmAsB

On tap: Racer 5 IPA, Karl Strauss Red, and 3 beers from Anaheim Brewing - Hef, Gold, and 1888 (California Common). $7 a pint. Flights of the Anaheim Brewing beers are available.

Bottles: The Bruery Loakal Red and Saison Rue 24 oz. bombers for $16. Considering you just paid $5000 to get the family in the park, $16 for a Bruery bomber shouldn't seem so bad. Stone Smoked Porter 22 oz for $11. 8 other 12 oz. micro bottles for ~$7 each.

Protip! All of the bottled beer from Carthay are available "to go". They have 16 oz. plastic cups for you to pour your beer into if you ask. You could do worse than walking around, taking in the sunshine, and enjoying a Saison Rue.

In the new Carsland - Flos V8 cafe. Racer 5 and Red Rocket from Bear Republic for $7 a pint, and a darn good pork tenderloin with Coca Cola BBQ sauce.

Pacific Wharf- the original Karl Strauss beer cart. KS Amber, Red, Gold, Hef, IPA, and a seasonal brew for $7 a pint. Pic http://i.imgur.com/fbZjp.jpg

Paradise Pier area - Cove Bar. Full bar, most of the KS beers and some macro imports (Harp, Guinness, Newcastle, etc.).

Paradise Pier area - Bayside Brews. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Torpedo IPA, KS seasonal for $7 a pint. Couple of macros. Pic http://imgur.com/RTr82

There are a few other spots inside DCA that have bottled beer, but the places above are your best bet.

Taking the side (West) exit through the hotel, there is the Napa Rose. If you are into wine (and have money up the wazoo), you're in heaven. This place is among the most distinguished restaurants in the country.

There are a few good selections at the Napa Rose for beer fans as well, though. Pull up a chair at the bar, and for $12 you get a 12 oz goblet of Chimay White (Tripel). A decent value for food is the $15 pizetta, which is an awesome little pizza that should fill up most folks. Couple other drafts and some bottles are available. Pic http://imgur.com/ucdvY

On the way out - Downtown Disney doesn't have a ton of good selections, but there are a few I'll mention.

The Uva bar in the middle of the walkway has Stone IPA, Bootleggers Palamino Pale, Green Flash WC IPA, North Coast Blue Star Wheat, and a few others on tap. They may have some decent bottles - never looked.

ESPN Zone has a shit-ton of macros and Stone IPA on tap.

Trader Sam's tiki bar in the hotel area has Kona Longboard Lager and Firerock Pale on tap.

Well there you go. The next time you visit the park, hopefully you'll be able to enjoy a decent brew or 2. Cheers.

Nice review... Did you forget to add Wine County Trattoria? Kind of off the beaten path near the new Cars ride exhibit.
This place had a decent amount of beer and wine.. Also full bar! Up stairs to bar.

Great atmosphere that has a winery setting which is nice when you need a break. Very quiet and relaxing and worth checking out while at CA adventure.

The Trattoria is a cool spot! The upstairs patio has a great ambiance and it's off the path enough that a lot of folks don't know it's there, and you can almost always find a seat.

I didn't include it because "I think" their selection is limited to bottles, and the best one is Gordon Biersch Marzen. Could be wrong though.

This post is why BA needs stickies. Nice work. Hopefully someone will keep the link this post handy so we have a canned answer ready for the "what are the beer options in Disneyland" questions.

The other questions are usually about what bars, breweries or bottle shops are around Disneyland/Anaheim.

Also, no love for Hearthstone Lounge in The Grand Californian? Tower 10 always seems to be on tap, and its a bit more comfortable in the bar area than trader sams.

The bar in the Grand Californian is decent. We stayed there a couple of years ago. I would go down and grab a beer after the kids were asleep. Late night it seem to be a hangout spot for some disney employees (at least those old enough to drink). Would get to hear some interesting stories from them, especially after a couple of drinks.

    Great write-up btw.

Of the beers actually worth drinking at any price, Loakal Red seems to have by far the small mark-up. This age old tradition continues. Awful well booze priced at a 500% mark-up, quality booze of the same type a 100% mark-up.

Stopped by the Napa Rose last night for my weekly pizzetta and Chimay... Annnnnnd tapped out!

For the 1st time in the few years I've been going there, they were out of Chimay, with the backup keg having kicked as well. The bartender said they've had a spike in the amount of folks ordering Chimay lately.

Never underestimate the the power of Beer Advocate. :stuck_out_tongue:

Was there today and the beer selection overall was really good for an amusement park. Only negative was that we couldn't take any beer to go from Carthay
