Distribution in Louisiana

I hate to be a bummer, but no decisions have been made regarding expanding our current distribution.

 

Well hell! That is a bummer. I am a big fan of the Smokestack series. Oh well, something else to look forward to when i travel.

 

Is Hoppin Frog on tap @avenuepub a mistake or are we getting them now?

 

I saw that too, a few days ago. Was wondering myself.

 

It was a non-collab brew on tap, their black IPA. So there is at least hope. Paging Polly...

 

Lol! No .. We have it listed wrong on the website. What's on tap is the Hoppin Frog Amager collaboration ...but the version done at Amager which is why we can get it. It's a hoppy low ish ABV imperial stout. It arrived without a label on the keg and when I tasted it I thought it tasted more black IPA than hoppy stout so I took a guess. But that guess was wrong. It is delicious however!

Ill get the website fixed.

Aquistapace's is a great little store. I had no idea about the selection they would have.

Went to Shreveport this weekend and enjoyed some Great Raft brews. I really enjoyed the Corruption and Commotion.

 

The addition of Founders has really improved Louisiana's beer distribution, and cheers to them for getting us everything super fresh! On another note, does anybody know the timetable on Ballast Point's arrival? Had heard they were coming this year long ago but haven't heard much since. Sculpin cans would be lovely this summer...

 

Ballast Point isn't arriving any time soon. I wrote the regional guy a couple of months ago and he said the company scaled back expansion plans for the time being.

Victory at Sea being available would have made moving here a bit more palatable. I'll just have to console myself with the 25+ cases of beer that followed me here. It's a good thing the Utah Trooper didn't ask what all I was moving aside from a car because I probably could have been arrested for bootlegging.

 

So happy that we will be getting to try this amazing quad on tap! Additionally, I wanted to say that I'm new to beer advocate and I love how active Polly @theavenuepub is about giving us fantastic information about Louisiana beer! That is why the avenue pub is the best bar in Louisiana!
