Wow, there is a staggering lack of exceptional DIPA in the world obviously...
That was half joke, I expect a silly amount of early line up due to the HF release later that afternoon. Only thing I'll be seeing at 6am is my eyelids, It's saturday for the love of everything.
Are you involved with the market?
Nope. Just a Lawson's supporter.
Well in any case, that is one serious farmer's market... lots of good stuff to be eaten. To everyone heading up there - if you don't come hungry and walk/eat around the whole place before/after getting your beer, you're doing it wrong.
thanks. seriously. this made me decide not to go.
There are a few world class cheeses that are not sold anyplace other than this market, plenty of frozen local meats(usually beef, chicken, goat, lamb & rabbit), seasonal vegetables, baked goods, honeys & maple stuff.
I don't know about this particular market, but quite often ther are a couple of wine & meade vendors.
I'd be down, and I'll have about 4 to 5 people with me
It's literally difficult to figure out what to eat before being sickeningly full... SUCH GOOD FOOD...
Spirits too, I thought.
We'll have to figure out some logistics on this one!
I love all of you who are getting crazy thinking I'd be in line at 6am. Maybe if it was sunny beautiful Florida, Not frozen beautiful VT. Calm down folks.
BM me and we'll figure out some logistics
Absolutely no need to be there at 6am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I won't be handing tickects out until 8:30 and that transaction take about 5 seconds per ticket , so do the math. I could probably hand out 100 tickets in less than 10 mintues. Even if the line was as long as it was in December everyone would have a ticket before 9am.
no, i think you will be there.
I'm in for the breakfast bottle share... but can it be at 8AM and not 6AM... pretty please? Anybody for an in-person trade??
5 seconds? Stop trying to chat up the ladies for tickets, Bro!
Farmers breakfast bottle share, Before the sunrise!
but there's going to be people who want to get to HF by 11:30 or so, meaning they want the first tickets to get their beer at 10AM from lawson's, so they'll be lining up at 6am to ensure that.
and won't someone please thing of the ecological footprint of the whole thing?!?!
I don't know if anybody noticed but Shaun updated the website saying that Norma is on the shelves at the store today, Isn't that the big to do on Saturday? I'll be strolling in (Stumbling, Depending on the share?) around 8, 8:30ish. I hope to score some of that cider if they have any, It was a big part of the reason I brought my bottle mul- My fiancé to come!
I'm up for an IP trade. PM me.
Norma's release was always today. However, only extreme locals can make it in during the brewery's hours during the week. So the first Saturday after a midweek release is always pretty nuts.
Looks like it will be a 4 bottle limit on all the IPA's.
This is a college campus and starting a line a 6am will not be well received, so please don't do this.
Also, no bottle sharing on school property.
that will work
this is absolutely remarkable news
Ok hear is the final debrief from Mr.Lawson:
Limit of 4 each of the following:
Toast Black IPA
Lost Meadow Cider
Maple Barrel Aged FMIS
Limit of 2 each on the Triple Play IPA
See ya in the mornin'
Diego has number 17
Hang onto him tightly when you go inside the co-op there - there's are a ton of kids in there that would love to have that guy! (Their PC parents would likely not approve!)
Diego is held tightly at all times!
No line y'all
Thanks to all, limits adjusted early so that everyone got plenty of DS and a little bit of everything else. No lines.
What'd the limit on DS end up being? Gotta try this stuff asap
Was at 6 when I stopped in at noon. Not sure if they changed it after that, though.
Oh jeez. Someone needs to trade with me then. No excuses.
I thought everything worked great today at the market. Being from PA, I really didn't know what to expect, so I arrived at 7:30, and actually got ticket #1. The system was very well organized, I had some goat meatballs, a parsnip cake, some sour pickles, and an awesome chicken and cheese Samosa, and got my Lawsons allotment. All the vendors at the Market were awesome.
And the cask of Double dry-hopped Double Sunny at the Three Penny afterwards was incredible!
Kudos to a smooth day all around...
I went in 20 mins before the farmers market ended and everything was still available.
sean brought 90 cases of Double Sunshine to the market. It was crazy to see it all at once!!
Gonna be in Burlington this weekend, now I need to find an excuse to go to Montpelier on Sat (thats not beer related) so my wife and parents want to there and just "happen by" this....
What? Do you have a flux capacitor?
shit, I worked all weekend. Thought it was next weekend. I dont have any concept of days....
Those chicken and cheese samosa! Oh man they were delicious. The jam/pickle/vendor directly across from Lawson's had some delicious stuff and they happily took up a bunch of my money.
