I'm coming from Bowling Green and going to be at the OSU Wexner Medical Center next Friday for a course. I'm looking for a decent bottle shop or two fairly close to there if possible. A good liquor selection would be a big bonus as well. Any recommendations on something fairly close by?

I'm not sure what you mean by fairly close but you are on campus and close to Grandview and short North. Given your criteria you can check out two places within 1-1/2 miles of OSU. The first is Market District Grandview Yard, 840 W 3rd Avenue
Columbus, OH 43212 . They have a pretty good selection of Columbus beer you may not get up there. The other is House Beer located at 843 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43215. I don't know that they have liquor though. If four miles isn't too far, you can check out Savor Growl, 2991 Indianola Avenue, Columbus, OH 43202. Awesome selection and one of my favorites. Finally, if you have someone you are traveling with that may want to look at something other than beer North Market has a bottle shop in it and other food items too.

Weiland's is a close drive and has all bases covered.

Weilands Market and Savor Pint. The two stores are a mile apart, and not far at all from where you'll be. They have the best and largest selection in the city IMO.

Giant Eagle Grandview Yard and Weiland's IMO. Both have liquor stores and good beer selections. I'd skip Savor, though that has more to do with personal feelings regarding their sketchy behavior than their selection, which I'm sure is fine.

Forgot about Market District in Grandview. Definitely go there. @masterofsparks Thats funny you say that about Savor Pint because when I went in there Saturday I thought it was sketchy as hell too. Selection was great though.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. Anyone know if anywhere in Cbus still has either of the Big Bad Baptist variants or BA Ten Fidy as of now? We didn't get much in NW Ohio

Not trying to piggyback this thread, BUT, I have a friend that will be in the area and is willing to stop for a beer pick up. What's the chance of getting Bohdi and Mad Elf in the area in the next week or so? Where would be the best place to go for Ohio only beers that we can't get here in Illinois? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers!

If you are downtown: Arena Wine and Spirits, Giant Eagle on Neil Avenue, North Market: Barrel and Bottle, Giant Eagle in Grandview Yard, Kroger in Brewery District. If you want to head North five miles or so: Weiland's Market, Savor, Pace High Carryout.

I am sure there are plenty other places but I don't get out as much as I used to

Mad Elf should be at every beer shop in the area. Bodhi (bottled on 12/6) just hit shelves yesterday, most shops should be getting it in but I'm not sure how long it will last.
