Driving from Pa to NC on rt 81, must stop stores/bars/eateries in VA?

What part of NC are you going to? Once you get past those towns until you get to NC there isn't much of anything.

 

I'm actually making a trip very soon from NC>blacksburg>philly>long island. The only places I have been to were in Blacksburg. Definitely go by the Vintage Cellar and 622 north. The brewery, bulls and bones, doesnt do anything special and is your average brewpup. Thats all the info I have for you unless you are coming through Charlotte. I'm sure you know we have a BUNCH of disc golf and good beer.

What bars/stores do you know of heading up 81 once you get closer to philly? I'm looking to find cases of russian river, ithaca, and other non NC distributed beer. It looks like i can either take 30 or 76 coming in off of 81 and would be willing to go a little bit out of the way to hit a good store/bar.

 

Stop on Lexington on your way down 81 and hit the new Devils Backbone Outpost. Production brewery for Devils Backbone. Believe they have a tasting room.
