Dundee IPA

I tried to drink this and the wing walker pale ale last night
both tasted like bad euro strong lagers, , shithouse ended up dumping in the garden

 

Might have something to do with them being an evil international conglomerate that destroys peoples livelihoods to turn profits.

I do love some stale Hop Hog though.

 

Stale ? Oh don't say that. I had to stay at a b&b in the wilds of Lesmurdie last week as no free hotels in the city under $400 a night, had no time to get to IBS or Freo. I was quite pleased to pick up packs of Hop Hog at the local Liquourland to bring back with me. Was looking forward to a drink tonight.

 

I found this to be an very average IPA. Given that this US brewery specialises in beers for supermarket chains if I was cynical I would think this beer is made to meet a very low price point. So Woolworths are acting true to form ie. its almost a house brand type beer for them, they can just rely on the fact its a 'US IPA' as a selling point, and sell it cheap and undercut other micro beers.

 

Im one of the managers at the sail and anchor. If the Hop Hog isnt up to standard out of the bottle, come down and I will buy you a pint of it.

 

I'm back home in Darwin now. Due again just after Easter. Normally always book a night at your place with a good friend and spend our time sampling as many different beers as possible in half pint measures. Tend to end up with a Hop Hog as a roady. Last time Mash Brown got the vote as best beer of the evening.
