Been in the club before but just signed up again. Excited about this round and love the smaller bottles! How do we find out what the dedicated members-only tap or bottle pour in the Cigar City Brewing Tasting Room is? Do you find out when you show up on any given day or is it posted somewhere?

Pretty Barleywine heavy this round if this is the case. Not even going to break my top 5 El Cat rounds with that lineup.

Could keg collar approvals be special El Cat taps?? Maybe they're filling one off barrels to blend and put out for members. Just a thought.

Cigar City specifically called out a mix of "stouts & barleywines". Not sure what you were expecting! Three barleywines & a wheatwine & three stouts would be fantastic for this guy.

Original email says “healthy mixture of both.” I guess the healthier side went toward the non stout items. Not a fan of Wheatwine but maybe this will help change my perspective.

Barleywine is such a polarizing style. I’ll drink them, but I much prefer stouts. Saying this round looks like it will be not a top 5 el cat round doesn’t mean anyone wasn’t expecting barleywines. It just means out of 12 el cat rounds 5 rounds were better based off the lineup.

I will say that I like the sound of the barrels used for these beers. A lot of interesting selections for the Barleywines. Might make me a believer after all.

Anyone making any trips to Cigar City soon and willing to pick up my round 11 beers and ship to CA? My usual trustee is not going to be able to do it. Will cover shipping and send thank you beers.

no asterisk on those, the labels came out. These are the confirmed 7 bottles unless there is an unforeseen issue.

I thought there was a comment about a return of some El Cat favorite beers from prior rounds in the original email. I guess I was hoping for DB Huna to show its beautiful face again. The beers still sound amazing and I love the bottle art that I’ve seen so far.

In the letter to everyone about the 12th edition they didn't specifically say that there would be beers from prior El Cat rounds, but did say there would be "some familiar releases that reflect back to the brewery's earlier days"

Hi all, looking to be a first time member. Just to confirm, I can have a family member (designated as trustee) pick up all 14 beers at one time, and it just needs to happen within 30 days on the 7th release?

I hope it is 20-25 per bottle and not 30-35. I could see the money grab though.
