I was thinking the same thing after the "long" time span between A OK and Look to the Cookie.

I'm wondering if the subscriber rate and how many tries it took to fill this round are contributing to that. I know personally I dropped to 1 bottle and know other 2 bottle members who also did, now many of the same people I talk to are considering dropping to a 0 bottle membership (frequency / beers offered, etc vs the past).

Yep I know several people with 2 bottle that are now splitting or dropping all together. There is just too much good beer nowadays for some people to justify the expense.

One reason to keep it was because of the high trade value. You could get a lot of decent quantity for one ECC beer but that's not really the case any longer.

not sure, as there are still people who didn't get in.

my guess is that they bottle beers as they are ready... and the third one ain't ready yet.

While I really, really hope you are right I remember when bottles #2, #3 and #4 (Rum Good Gourd Almighty, Illuminating The Path and Don Gavino) in Round 1 all dropped on the same day so I'm not getting my hopes up yet. It's been awhile since they dropped multiple bottles at once and I think we're overdue for it to happen again.

Drinking an Absolutely Okay right now, this is an absolutely fantastic booze bomb of a beer. Dark fruits and a shitton of bourbon. If they're not going to give me more barleywines, this is close enough.

Care to predict what the remaining bottles will be? You did pretty well a couple rounds back.

Next bottle is something people have already mentioned/speculated on here. It's not AB Huna tho...

The rest of the round should be interesting and a bit different.

They put that Wheatwine (one they did for the Pro-Am cateogry at GABF) into barrels about 9 months ago now. That could be ready

On a non El Cat note I'm interested in the Killswitch beer they are releasing, which is an IPA but made different than the normal Ccb standards. More along the lines of a NE style IPA. Hoping it's just a good beer.

The hold all bottles until 30 days days after the 5th bottle is released. After that they're forfeit.

Released today. It's decent, good hop bill. Don't expect even a little haze though, despite the sales sheet.

Agreed. It was OK on draft hoping for a little better out of the bottle. However, the pipeworks collab was very hazy and delicious. I wish they would have bottled it instead.

At .50/ounce we should probably expect a great IPA. I won't be gambling though.

Aromas of fresh-ground espresso beans, vanilla and bourbon spiciness dominate the nose in this imposing Imperial Stout. The palate finds strong flavors of fudge, coffee, penuche, and raisin pudding balanced by moderate German hop flavor and bitterness, while the flavor of vanilla beans and wood tannins temper the roastiness of the beer's dark malts. Smooth alcohol warming makes Bourbon Barrel-aged Marshal Zhukov's Penultimate Push an immersive sensory experience.
