Does anyone know if there is any way to add more than one trustee to your membership? / how do El Cat Members handle this? can you change it as needed to a different person?

Finally got around to renewing my membership. It irks the shit out of me that I have to pay sales tax on my purchases but if that's the worst thing about El Catador then I'll cope

    Worth it.

Do you have to renew online? Or can you do it at the brewery?

Just renewed my membership with 2 bottle option. Looking forward to what's coming. Last round finished strong, hoping we see that trend continue.

In for a 2 bottle membership. $321 that my lady would have probably been better off not knowing about, oh well. Can't wait to see the first bottle!

What happens to the bottles that do not get picked up by the 30th? Do we get a chance to purchase them?

The tasting room manager said that they are starting to build an vintage bottle list, Basically if you want to pay $50 you drink a Decoherence at the bar. I think its an amazing idea. There are definitely some bottles me and my buddies would pay to drink at CCB. When they do come out with that list. i want to see what CCB whales will be on it.

The do have a pretty deep cellar in the original bottle cooler by the fermentorium. (I saw it once)

I imagine it will replicate that of the Side Project Cellar where randomly on a Tuesday DBH or the sort will be available for onsite consumption at your mention $50+ price tag. Pull out the big guns during special events too

Woah, a vintage bottle list at CCB? that would be amazing! When I went to Firestone Walker, they had one, it was really crazy priced, but I split a FW15 with a couple people there. I wonder if they would need a limit on how many you could buy at a visit? Seems like if they did not, it could get drastically reduced in volume in short order.

I don't think they will do a specific day,,,, Doing that would just make the tasting room chaos. He mentioned RedLight RedLight, Just have a locked cooler with bottles, they may change everyday, it may be limited stuff a few bottles at a time.
I would rather it be this way.

it would be on site consumption only Like they are dong with he HUNA now. . So the beer-tenders would have to ensure people don't get completely hammered.

Double Barrel was last released in 2014. I believe the only outlet was the random sale at Huna Day 2014.

ah i remember that, when people were able to buy cases of it and all hell broke loose at hunah day?

wasnt it released later, with a certain quantity daily at the taporoom too?

or am i mistaking that with cali brandy huna?

that was cali brandy huna...which, IMO, was the whole idea for creating the El catador club. It was such a crapshoot, people showing up at 11, and hoping they put 1 case out. I got why CCB was doing it...to increase traffic in the brewpub during dead hours...but there was a lot of butt hurt when people missed getting bottles after going there all day long.

DBH was the last bottle in the first installment of the El Catador Club, they did sell most of the ECC1 bottles at Huna day that year in a secret sale by the merch tables. I just happen to be buying merch when I caught wind of it. Got my case limit.... Woo hoo..... I have kept my beer cooler full of hops for 2 yrs with that case. (Don't bother I am out now)

They also did online lotteries for Cali Brandy. They would post on FB and you had an hour window to email in to a certain email address. Then they drew the names out of a hat, recorded the whole process and posted it on YouTube as the announcement of the winners. Probably one of the least efficient ways possible to do it.

lol i agree...i remember watching the videos for 5-7 minutes...only to be depressed or see one of my friends proxy win a bottle. i should have just taken the chance when they put them all in the cooler the last day, as it would have lasted quite some time after i was there.

Several of the state's best CCB accounts also got 10 or so vouchers that were good for 2 bottles of Cali Hunah...with CCB's encouragement most accounts raffled off the vouchers for charity..the winners of the vouchers then had to go to CCB in Tampa and get their bottles...to prevent people from selling the vouchers the establishments all faxed a list of their winners to CCB which then matched the names on that list to your photo ID..still have a bottle of it in my cellar

Either way I know I am drinking the next BA Huna variants fresh. Nothing good came from aging Cali Brandy or DBH.

Hardly anything good comes from aging stouts with adjuncts. They've generally already been aged.

Another cart person who just signed up! Excited to see what is coming for the 4th Edition.

For those waiting on remaining slots, a "Waiting List Lottery" option just showed up in the CCB store for any remaining openings. Seems like a good idea to avoid the chaos that marked signup days.

I like that if you enter the lottery and lose, they will weight your entry for the next lottery. Good thing to do for people waiting longer
