I went to school there. Old Rum's had fun stuff that would just sit on the shelf and King Liquor would occasionally get some cool Boulevard seasonals. That's really all there was, though. I hear they're getting a brewery sometime in the future, so there is that.

My cousin is actually in the process of opening a brewery in Emporia. Don't think it will be open until August sometime though. Other then that you are SOL for interesting things to do, except maybe chase some college girls. Good luck.

Is this going to be that all lagers brewery everyone is talking about?

No. Definitely not going to be an all Lager brewery. It is Called Radius Brewing. My cousin will be doing all the brewing and his business partner is a chef who will handle the food side. Will have a brick oven and a focus on locally sourced produce and meats.
