My birthday is on the 21st so it is a three year vertical of Fullers vintage ( 2010-2012)
I'm getting super creative and going with a 750 of La Fin du Monde.
My birthday is the 21st as well.. Can I join you?
Great beer! It has a great finish too! ha ha ha
Toast my Dad with a Ballantine! Then finish with a Dead Guy Ale! Then hopefully drink some heavenly beer? Gotta BELIEVE!
My lineup shall be Mother of All Storms, Abyss, RR Supplication, Brewer's Art Resurrection, and watching the movie 2012.
And if the world doesn't end, LA Deliverance and SN Celebration.
Rats, I have the first three but am still searching for Death!
Growler hours @ Oxbow Brewing tasting room with Saison Noel, Freestyle 11 & 12, whatever else is around. If we last past that, Fin du Monde, Mystic Day of Doom, RR Damnation, a couple Elysian Beers of the Apocalypse.
Well, my favorite beer to end the night, Old Rasputin Imperial Stout. Why not have it to end my life!
To start Unibroue's 'La Fin Du Monde' ,
followed by Driftwood's 'Singularity' , a beer of infinite destiny !!
I already have a punch bowl, ladle, and dixie cups waiting in the cellar. Muuhwhaaahahaha
Earthquake and an old english. Shitty beer for a shitty day? haha
Well I sucessfully weened down my cellar up to this point(it was a good call) so it looks like its time to aquire some barley wines in the next few days to truely appreciate the end of days.
Death just came out last week (Russian Imperial Stout brewed with ghost peppers). You should be able to find it.
Since I'm considering driving down for this I figured I'd post it.
Wish I had the whole series from Elysian, even if there are a few duds in there.
Personally, I'm going with Utopias and a Bligh's.
I was thinking that maybe this is actually the end for anyone who is Mayan, or even related to Mayans. Afterall, it is their calendar. So that, anyone who has Mayan blood would just suddenly vapor-lock on 12/21, and the rest of us would be fine. Just a thought.
Going to buy a mixed six pack tomorrow. Also, a bottle of La Fin Du Monde to toast the end of the world at midnight
How will the apocalypse effect my beers rarity/value? Hoping to land some 2013 KBS.
Did you come up with the recipe yourself or did you find it somewhere? I would love to make this.
I'm not a believer in "the world ends" crap but for "as the world spins" beers go, I'll take Heady Topper, Parabola, Hopslam, Andechs Doppelbock Dunkel, Consecration, Pannepot and for a smoked beer Holger Danske...
Point 2012 for something you can drink all night.
It would be a sin not to have beer that depicts the End Of the World!!
Also am Drinking my:
Pipeworks End Of Days
Goose Island Nightstalker
Espresso Oak Yeti 2011 (has to be opened)
Everything else I hope to enjoy on Friday!
They Did I drank Many btls of it!!
Assuming the world does not end, I am definitely ISO these!!
Had some tonight (Rockford, Illinois). Hope it's still on draught Friday...
The world doesn't end until April 13, 2029. Relax.
Thinking about drinking my '09 Nemesis, kinda want to save it for longer but it seems to fit the occasion.
I'll be drinking Enjoy By 12-21-12 with friends and feeling pretty sure that the Mayans were wrong.....
Just found some Thirsty Dog Mayan Last Dog tonight. Guess I am going to have that after Pestilence, War and Famine, and perhaps Death if I can track it down.
So, probably a dumb question. Is everyone drinking their End of the World beers on the 20th or the 21st?
I have some Goose Island Christmas Ale from 2009 for this special occasion.
I have heard the end is the 21st or the 23rd. Maybe the 22nd would be appropriate.
I don't recommend holding on to this brew for that long. Was gonna save it for the end of the world but drank to much last week and it was the only thing i had left cold, said fack it, and cracked it open. Long story short, it was already going down hill...
Still got that 7?
I will be having Megadestroyer from Howe Sound here in BC.
One day to go!
I hope everyone is ready with stockpiles of guns, ammunition, food and craft beer
