I've heard that they have had pilot batches on tap in Denver for a while already, looks like they are getting ready for a production run now.

Sounds good, I'm curious, as I feel like I don't consistently get much barrel flavor in BBB, how it will be to compare the two.

And because I'm lazy, how does this beer differ from BBB?

I was hoping this meant BBB in 12oz. bottles

I'm guessing that it's not barrel aged.

BBB is 10.5-12.5% ABV depending on batch, aged for 2-6 months in barrels.
Son of a Baptist is 8.5% and not barrel aged.

A reverse variant. I like it.
