Here's another vote for a barleywine!
Does the mean there's going to be 12 & 1/2 beers now?
Finally got my password reset then care of with HT. And wow, just in time for a $10 discount. This generosity is going to get paid forward with a gift box. Thanks HT and @Todd
I consider the collaboration beer with Edgar partially announced as it's currently fermenting, plus we haven't added adjuncts or blended in the bourbon and rye barrels yet.
No, thank you!
Just when I thought I was done spending money for the day...
Thanks for spending it with BeerAdvocate.
The beers revealed so far look awesome! I'm really excited for Beer Tape in particular. Looks like it's going to be a pretty complex blending process - feeling good about Edgar and crew sticking the landing, though!
What is Beer Tape?
It's a HipHopCraft + BeerThugLife brand: https://www.instagram.com/beer.tape/
Wrong answers only? Todd’s old beer podcast in the pre-smart phone era.
Cool! Should it have its own BA brewery page or is it more just brand marketing?
Good question. I'm not sure if it's setup as its own entity, but I'll check.
Anyone found a zip code that half time ships to in Wisconsin?
I was hoping that Modist would drop a Pastry Lager into the box. They didn't disappoint...
Modist Brewing Co. (Minnesota)
First Call Frappe: Turtle Cheesecake Coffee Lager
Pastry Lager | 6.5% | 16oz can
Coffee Lager brewed with pilsner malt, malted oats and milk sugar, then conditioned on Wesley Andrews Coffee, cocoa nibs, pecans, caramel and cheesecake.
Southern Grist is still TBD….Southern Grist Barleywine…doooooooo iiiiiiiit!
Sounds like a great candidate for a Sunday Brunch
I'm pretty sure that beer violates every beer purity law known and unknown to man...repeatedly.
Bolero Snort Brewery (New Jersey)
The PB+J Incident
Pastry Sour | 6.8% | 16oz can
A peanut butter + jelly donut sour ale conditioned on locally baked donuts, Concord grape puree, and finished with peanut butter and vanilla.
Shoutout to you and these breweries providing us with weird and extreme beer. Keep em coming, can't wait for my box
I don’t know how I’m going to explain to my kids that they aren’t old enough to have a peanut butter and jelly donut beer.
Long-time, first-time. Ordered after the initial release. Excited to try some EXTREME beers, finally become a member and pay back the site/community a bit. Y'all helped me get into beer. Cheers, everyone!
This might be just too extreme. I guess the box is living up to its name. Still holding out for a Mountain Dew IPA
Sounds like you've never been to an Extreme Beer Fest before.
Thanks for sticking around since 2009 and buying a box! I appreciate the support.
And another vote.,. A big nasty Extreme Barleywine to chase my donut and cheesecake - pleeze!
I'm wondering where the donuts are from. There's a donut place 5 minutes from me and 10 minutes from the brewery that I had never heard of before. I'll have to pick up some donuts for a pairing if that's where they're from.
Our first Extreme Beer event, and a second pastry beer! Are we seeing a trend?
I used to live up that way and visit annually - which donut place is it? I might have to check it out on my next trip.
Had me until great notion…
We've got another beer for the box for all of you colada fans out there:
Southern Grist Brewing Co.
Banana Colada Melted Snow Cone
Smoothie Sour Ale | 4% | 16oz can
Smoothie-style Sour Ale brewed with lactose, banana, pineapple, and cream of coconut.
And another one for tequila fans:
Funky Buddha Brewery
Imperial Cream Ale | 11.5% | 12oz bottle
Imperial Cream Ale aged in tequila barrels with orange and pomegranate added.
Now that one sounds extreme. I'm hyped
I'm guessing that it's Top That! Donuts in Rutherford.
Did I miss something or is this an Extreme Breakfast box ? Disappointing
No eggs, bacon, or English muffins were added to any of the beers.
I demand an egg mcmuffin beer be included in a future extreme beerfest box
