Sounds like someone is eagerly awaiting the extreme beer/ fast food collab beers. You should see the line for the Toppling Goliath- Chic-Fil-A Barrel Aged Chicken Stout with pickles.

I was so excited when Virtual EBF was announced last year as I never could finagle attending previously, and the event lived up to the hype - absolutely loved it.

I've since bought another similar box from Half Time and was highly disappointed with the contents so I was hesitant to jump on this, but figured I'd do it solely on how much I enjoyed last year's EBF.

This list of beers makes me super happy I did, and you haven't even announced Kane's contribution yet! Awesome work, Todd!

Thanks! I think you're going to love Kane's beer! We're just waiting on them to finalize the beer name.

I can’t get on board with these beers. Call me what you will but I don’t want a grocery store in my beer. Is it really still a beer at that point? Sure, if I was handed a glass of any of these I would try it but not pay for these. Founders breakfast bastard a bunch of years back was enough for me. Smelled and tasted as advertised but after a few sips it was old already.

Everyone enjoy these beers, look forward to seeing reviews.

What is it that excites you about these beers? Are hops part of the taste/smell in these? Are real foods being used or flavorings?

    Enjoy

I get it. Extreme Beer Box (and the Fest) isn't for everyone, but my experience since we started doing the fest has shown me that the ever evolving world of extreme beers often surprises those who approach it with an open mind.

I totally agree. I enjoyed the surprises in the last box. Interesting ingredients that I never thought about and made for a great beer tasting experience. I think we're where we're with beer, for better or worse, because we kept an open mind regarding the ingredients, brewing methods, barrel aging and blending.

I would buy this if it wasn't nearly all cans. Not happy about this mass movement to cans.

So you're letting something as trivial as packaging make up your mind for something you otherwise are interested in?

I mean, it’s an extreme beer fest. How are they neglecting the packaging? Couldn’t we have at least one beer packaged in a coconut or foil pouch or taxidermied stote?

At this point, brewers have just sent their beers to Half Time or are about to (intentional to avoid holiday shipping challenges). Once everything arrives, Half Time will begin to break down the palates, and then start the packing and shipping process. I'll have a proper update for everyone sometime next week.

Turns out my guess was wrong. The donuts are apple cider donuts from Secor Farms in Mahwah. I was expecting jelly donuts also.
