I don't know, I really liked it. Hmm. FWIW, I am a HUGE bourbon fan so maybe that's why I liked it.
Funny though, I think KBS is only slightly better than average while others rave about it. That's why we have so many varieties I guess. Cheers!

It was at Ashley's, Old Town, Fraser's, Wurst in Ypsi, Beer Grotto in Dexter, Jet's in Chelsea, and will be at HopCat opening. I'm kind of sick of it

I think everyone's feelings about this beer depends a lot on whether they happen to be a coffee lover.

Interesting too. I love coffee, but do think some coffee stouts are WAAYY overdone, namely Big Bad Baptist. Huna and Black Tuesday are my favorites currently, so who knows what that means.

Bingo. Can't stand the taste or smell of coffee. KBS was drinkable for me, but probably more so because all I had to go through to get it. Same for FBS and Hipster. I'd much rather have a BN, BBPT5, Delusion, GriffenClaw, even Dragon's Milk. Now CBS on the other had had enough maple sweetness to it to balance out the coffee notes, at least for me.

Man, Dragon Traxx seems to be getting a lot of love. I thought that beer was way over-flavored and sweet. Reminded me of drinking melted ice cream - nice flavor at first, but it quickly becomes too much. I liked the Cookies and Cream version though, very smooth and creamy (naturally.)

    5. KBS
Honorable mentions: Hipster Brunch, all variations of night fury, Kuhnhenn BA American stout, black note, Delusion.

Cannot put CBS on my list b/c I have not had the good fortune of trying it yet:slight_frown:

I wish I had easier access to Livery beers over here on the East side. I'm sure that Cherry Taxman is spectacular.

Can't speak to Dragon Trax since it's always been blown by the time I arrive to any events where it's featured, but their BB Night Fury w/ chocolate and espresso probably beats out KBS and Black Note for me.
