It might be worth it to make the trip to Founders right now just to try Backwoods Bastard on tap. Delicious and inexpensive ($6/12 oz pour).

And while you're there, stick around for a month or two for the KBS release.

Dragonmead Killer Bee is amazing on tap fresh. Two days in a growler and it loses the perfect smell that makes me like it so much.

Old engine oil on cask about a month ago. So smooth and flavorful. My brother and I got 3 each. That would be the biggest standout for me in recent memory.

Augustiner Lagerbier Hell straight out of those wooden kegs is magic. Bottles are fine, but on draft that one is otherworldly.

Just had Dogfish Head's 120 on tap at a local bar that the owner aged for a year. That's in my top 10 for sure.

Rogues Shakespeare Oatmeal Stout on nitro tap was so much better than the already much enjoyed bottle version.

Shame to hear. It's always on draft around me and I'm in S. CA - not the Northwest.
Have you had one of the Black Butte reserves on draft? I was fortunate enough to sample XXII and XXIII both from the same great place in SD - Slater's 50/50 (they are serious about craft brew at that joint).

My most memorable drafts from the last year in order:

The Abyss 2011 (courtesy glasses - appropriately in Deschutes snifters, and generously refilled at a burlesque venue during Deschutes Base Camp LA 2012)

Black Butte XXII (tapped just for me the night before it was scheduled to pop after I called in on a hope and dream to have it as I left town that night - thus missing the event the following day for Deschutes Base Camp SD 2012).

Hop Venom (Growler fill attempt cut short when the keg ran dry - leaving me and the wife with 2 courtesy pint glasses from the partial fill. Growler Guys really is an amazing place!)

Horse Ridge IPA (normally not a big deal at the Deschutes Public house but this was served in SD during Deschutes Base Camp SD 2012. It's not typical for experimental pub exclusives to be taken on the road)

Pliny the Elder (happy hour prices at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing - it's always nice to save $ on good brew)

I don't get to drink tap beer that often but the best I remember recently are Founders Breakfast Stout, DFH Bitches Brew, Kane Head High IPA, Carton Carton of Milk Stout

    Allagash black bourbon
    Backwoods bastard(created a monster)
    Brooklyn black chocolate stout.

I heard tilquin gueuze has been popping up in ct. I need to track that one down.

    Cheers,

    Doug

I had Cantillon at the brewery about 14 yrs ago. Their Lambic, Kriek and Framboise. Amazing. Also I would have to say the 15th anniversary of Firestone Walker on tap.

CBS was amazing on tap! Close seconds (in order) were BB Batch 9000, BCBS, and Black Note.

Any Live Oak beer is world class. It only comes on draft so it wins over individual packaging by default.

Somebody said it above, Delerium Tremens. That really extends for all the Delerium beers. Delerium Noel on draft is pretty incredible.

Left Hand Hopfenweiss. I don't think it ever gets bottled but damn it was a delicious beer.

512 Barrel Aged Pecan Porter. I haven't had it in the bottle so it's also winning by default.

I had a Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan on tap and it tasted exponentially better than it did in the bottle. It's a nice, decently priced brown ale

Double Jack on tap was like sippin a fine scotch - I am hesitant to try it the bottle.

Arrogant Bastard great the bottle, but near the best beer I've had fresh on tap.

Java Head awesome on tap, just good in the bottle.

Great Lakes Oktoberfest awesome on tap and surprisingly the same in a bottle.
