Wow, and now we have Station 26 cans nearby in the Springs? Gotta track that Juicy Banger down...Win. Things are looking up.
Did try Cerberus' Not-So-Tiny-Umbrella DIPA last week and that was glorious.

Stout Month means my IPA consumption is down, but I'm geeked about Juicy Banger in cans.

Also, I met some friends yesterday at OMF and quite enjoyed Vaulting Ambition, a juicy, new-school, NE-ish-style IPA. Its worth a look if you're trolling Larimer this weekend.

Yes, we brew all of our cans at Sleeping Giant. They're a great partner and together we've worked hard over several months to ensure that JB is matched as closely as possible to what we produce at our facility. SGB's brewers and equipment are some of the best in Colorado (their canning line cost more than all of our equipment combined...), DO levels in our cans are very low, batches will be brewed frequently, cans are always stored cold, and our self-distribution operation will get fresh cans onto shelves shortly after packaging. I'm personally super stoked to get Juicy Banger IPA cans into the market and I hope you enjoy them as much as our team does!

Well from one dude's perspective, Juicy Banger is every bit as delicious in cans as it is in the brewery! A tropical grapefruit can-xplosion :beers: cheers!

JB is one of the very few beers from S26 I actually enjoy and I gotta say, while the cans were ok I wasn’t overly impressed. Might be the only 6 pack I buy.

Really? I’d hate to sale you guys something important like pot. I think it’s a little over carbed but nothing 10 minutes in a glass wont fix. Flavors seem spot on to me.

Adds a little sweetness but keeps a dry finish. I'd probably prefer a little more malt in a red but it lets the mosaics shine a little more this way.

Finally tried the J.Banger -great stuff. Had it alongside a can of Odd13's Intergalactic Juice Hunter (4.0) - hard to pick a favorite...
Now on to try Crooked Stave's latest - tried their IPA a few years back and was "meh" about it. Sounds like they've made strides. Cheers, keep the latest suggestions coming...

Bought a recent (canned mid-JAN) batch of Bout Damn Time along with the Juicy Banger over the weekend. Both tasting excellent. I feel like it's been a while since I've purchased 2 different canned CO IPAs and neither was hazy. We're truly spoiled here.

speaking of the haze craze, anyone know if Intergalactic Juice Hunter is on tap anywhere? At Odd13? Still need to try that one.

This is updated weekly as far as I can tell. It’s fed by shipment files our distributor sends to the vendor that runs it. It only tells who ordered, not who still has the beer, so no guarantees on timeliness and accuracy: http://odd13brewing.com/content/wheretobuymap.html

Awesome, thanks @rscot231. I loved the first batch of I-P-Alien, I fondly remember a few cans enjoyed on the slopes last winter. Is the recipe the same? First time doing the double version, right?

Identical recipe. This year is a little softer as a result of process changes over the past year. This is also the first time doing the double version. Yes.

I just had my first can of Juicy Banger. This has definitely been one of my top 3 CO IPAs along with Superpower and Project Alpha. The canned version doesn’t taste the same but it’s still good. Tastes more like some of their single hop beers. Canned, it’s still better than most options out there. I was really surprised to hear about this beer in cans. It wasn’t too long ago that it wasn’t available all the time in their taproom.

Packaging and possibly branding "Fail": 01-Feb cans, purchased 1/2-mile away from brewery (11 miles from Sleeping Giant, fwiw) tonight—two I had seem 3+ months old already. Malty + that ExtraWide-Distro not-quite "Big Beer" finish. SRM dead giveaway, consistent with all pix on Untappd.
Can't believe I passed on Juice Hunter (price) and CS IPA (tired) and others at convenient stop (not one of my Go-Tos). Although in cooler, even if this wasn't stored cold, effects of age should not be evident like this in 2 weeks. Or, brew was just sub-par.
Hate to slam a local like this, but clearly the hold-up/hesitation was warranted—for whatever reason ("uses too many of our good hops," "will outsell all our other brands too much" etc). Rare that I'm inclined to criticize like this or feel like asking for refund, but this isn't from like SN, NBB, Avery etc :slight_frown:

I don't post often, more of a lurker. I am inclined to agree with everyone that the Banger was not bangin imo. Aroma was really nice, but the beer itself seemed overly dry and thus more harshly bitter than I remember. My wife enjoyed the rest of them for me.

Personally really enjoyed Juicy Banger. Aroma was out of this world as usual for that beer. Very, very slight downgrade in taste for me, but I'm talking about an extremely minor drop personally. Top 3 CO packaged IPA to my palate, very happy to have.

FYI - the new Left Hand IPA can almost hang with this beer, so I was really impressed. It does have a bit of a harsh/sharp finish, which is the only thing holding it back from the true top tier. I'll buy it again though, most definitely, and I didn't think those guys would ever be able to put together a hoppy offering this strong.

The S26 Chocolate Milkshake is interesting. I enjoyed it, but calling it an IPA doesn't seem right. I get that their going for the "milkshake IPA" thing, but it's probably the first time I can recall where the IPA letters should just be dropped. There are hops in there and it's something like 6.3%, but I just don't think anyone would pick it out as being any form of an IPA without seeing the name. More so than the other ones they've done, which I also liked. I'd say just call this one a "milkshake beer" and leave it there.

On tap Saturday it was really really chocolate forward, but with our crowler (which we cracked last night) it wasn't as punchy. The hops were still dialed way way back, but it tasted a bit more balanced.

Should be interesting to see what's next. The crowd on Saturday is one of the biggest ones I've ever seen...minus a few people that literally only showed up to let their dogs wander around before leaving. Clearly people are digging these, myself included. Kind of funny how S26 is able to fly both the traditionalist and the new age experimental flags at the same time.

Comrade is tapping Honeyman 19 today. The 19th in the R&D IPA series. Hopped with Galaxy, Ekuanot, Amarillo and Azacca. If anyone had their collab with Fat Head's Portland, Lupulin Manifesto, it's very similar but extra resiny from the Azacca. Cheers

Meh... its not juicy, but it is hazy. I found the flavors to be pretty good though incredibly muted.
I had two and wasn’t impressed with either. I’d imagine it’ll appeal to some people, but I doubt you’re one of them. Worth a pour if you see it out somewhere I suppose- probably wouldn’t commit to a 6er.

Because of the source, I had slightly low expectations (for an NE IPA) but I liked it. It doesn't compete with the heavy hitters in the state but I found the flavors to be really nice but pretty muted - as mentioned above. Their website says they use Hefe yeast, so it may be in my head now but I swear I got some banana runts and bubble gum action going on and it went really well with the hops. I'm not confident enough to recommend a 6 pack but I would give it a try if you can.
