Last week when I posted about the CS IPA, I had just drank the last two beers out of six I had bought sometime before March 14th. I have only been buying crowlers supporting a couple of local breweries since then, so I know it was at least 2 months old but did not check the date. It still tasted great and was hazy. I will have to pick another 6 up on my next liquor store visit. Bummer if it changed permanently for the worst.

know idea if it “changed” or not. Not sure if those canned dated 1/8 were just an off batch, a yeast experiment, or what? Interested to know what the latest cans you can find look/taste like.

Definitely screaming through my 8 pack of Vermont IPAs from Red Truck.

Solid solid offering.. much more balanced than the newer school NEIPAs.. similar to what I recall Hetty Topper to taste like. Will certainly grab another 8 pack lol

8 pack huh? I'm intrigued. Brewery only, or liquor store availability?

Visited Red Truck last year and enjoyed what I had including the food. Nothing blew me away, but solid offerings and a unique "milk bar/70s diner" feel that felt like a throwback.

Somewhat refreshing when so many other new brewery spaces feel try-hard or derivative.

    Yes an 8 pack!
Picked them up from the beer store around the corner from my crib.

Agreed on them- nothing will really blow your mind, but nothing will disappoint either. I like what they did with the space and appreciate that they aren’t contrived or trying too hard.

While I’m not crazy about mixed buckets in general- Odell consistently puts out a variety pack that doesn’t result in me having 3-4 extra beers that just get pushed around the fridge for months.

The latest Montage has Peach Radler (my babe loves these along with Sipping Pretty), OG IPA, and CryoHop ipa, which is delightful. Not sure I’ve had a beer made with hops treated this way, but I thought it was great... very much a new school hop profile that integrates well with a light malt base.

So, one consequence (?) of this whole pandemic has been greater, local, availability of some of Denver's best. I'm taking a real shine to TRVE's offerings, including Scorn and Show No Mercy - (west coast IPA @5.6%?) - damn stuff is like heavy-metal beer Champagne. Dry, crisp, great see-through appearance with mountain's worth of foam on top. So drinkable. Damn good stuff - can't wait to go visit that place in person... sometime.
We didn't get much of their stuff prior to this era, so for that at least, I'm grateful. Cheers!

Great thread! I've had a ton of Weldworks stuff, but I am very happy to find a bunch of other suggestions in this thread. Keep the great IPA convo coming! I'll be in the Denver area late June!

This is the only IPA of theirs that I haven't picked up since we've been in quartine. Glad to hear it's tasty. I had Scorn, Tunnel of Trees, and Ageless Fire. Liked them all a lot, and they were all very different. Really curious about the kviek beer they have too, Hefring. Sounds interesting and nice and summery.

Not a Colorado IPA, but has anyone seen Breakside’s IPA in 6 packs anywhere? According to their website, they added this format recently. It’s one of my favorite IPAs and I’ve always thought it would be great as a sixer.

I’ve only ever had it on draft and it does not play.
Definitely West coast-y, but also seems modern and relevant. Will certainly be keeping an eye out for this... thank you!

Our brewmaster, who was previously at Barley Brown's, had a lot of beer names named after equipment: Ratchet Strap, Pallet Jack, Handtruck, Forklift, etc. Handtruck is a pale ale. We named it after the brand of US-Made hand trucks, which is pretty much the gold standard of the brewing industry, Honeyman
