Just an FYI for those still looking for s26 citra. I noticed some at Lukas sitting outside the coolers.

Station 26 Juicy Banger is juicy and a banger. One of the best IPA's I've had this year.

Chelsea from Station 26 here. Select stores are running promotions on our cans through the end of November, so now is a good time to stock up. We expect to have the Single Hop Citra available for about 2 more weeks, then it's gone!

The 3rd offering, Mosaic, will be released in early 2016.

So glad you guys are enjoying the beers!!

I like the S26 Single-Hop Chinook a lot. Even more than the Citra.

I got 2 64oz growlers of the S26 Nelson IPA. Going back today to refill both. Might bring a 3rd for Juicy Banger

I thought that the malt they use for the single hop worked way better with Chinook.

I also prefer the west coast style. I think you can taste the hops a lot more. Even at almost a month old, I still LOVE every sip of Born Yesterday and everything else I try off the shelves just doesn't compare. I almost think they should get rid of the term "West Coast" and replace it with "Hop Forward" or something since the term "West Coast" seems to get a bad rap and there are plenty of good beers brewed around the country that are good hop forward beers like Troegs Perpetual IPA which could be also labeled "West Coast"

I still think Albuquerque makes the best versions of what most people call "West Coast" IPA. The geographic nature of beer styles in the US is pretty fluid.

What are some of the ones you like from that area? I'd love to try some.

As is everything. Some of the best Italian food I've had was in Oregon and my favorite Western Movies were made in Italy

La Cumbre, Bosque, Canteen, Chama River, Marble, and Blue Corn are putting out stuff that will take the enamel off your teeth...in a good way. Apparently they have a yearly NM IPA challenge and they push one another to keep getting better. I think there's a fair amount of brewer movement, too. If you like the stuff from Comrade, Cannonball Creek, or Mountain Sun, you'll be right at home.
A decade ago NM wasn't in much better position (beer-wise) than the southeast. Now they're killing it.

Any clues on which ones? I usually only frequent Lukas bc it's most convenient but have been known to drive the metro area in search of something specific! Thx!

I was somewhat letdown by Dank, but Elevated (both from La Cumbre) blew me away. I can't comment on how these beers compare to the New England (juice bomb?) IPA style, but if you like Superpower, Hop Vivant et al., it is worth the drive to the Land of Enchantment to pick up some Elevated...and I've heard Bosque may be even better.
