Marble's IIPA is really good too.

Anyone try the Superfan 2.0 with Equinox, yet?

Didn't that Bosque IPA take down a metal at the GABF, this year? I'm heading down there in January, hoping to try it, hope it was just a batch issue for you!

Their Wet Hop IPA did, don't think their standard one did. I never tried the wet hop, didn't make it down here in time too unfortunately.

I didn't get the love for it. I thought nearly every wet hop brew from the NW was superior. May have something to do with harvest time in relation to GABF... Then again, could just be me

I stopped by Argonaut tonight and they didn't have it yet. I'll try again tomorrow. I'm sad to see they're not using Citra anymore, but the Hop Troll Equinox was good so I'm optimistic about this one

Not technically an IPA, but borderline, Aspen Brewing Conundrum is an excellent fresh hop red, finally picked one of those up, hadn't seen it yet this year. No bottle dates, hopefully it's still pretty fresh

Agree. That red is one of my favorite examples of that style.

It's excellent. Love a good hoppy red, and besides Gordon (eff you Gordon Biersch that beer will always be Gordon, and your beer sucks) the only one I can think of around here is Odell Red and Aspen Double Conundrum, and both are just seasonals

@Fitshaced texted me that the 2.0 was great, and we have similar taste, so I'll be seeking out a couple two tree sixers of it tomorrow

Did you see the info on collab fest? Westwood had an article. Fat Heads and Comrade are teaming up, and Comrade, Cannonball Creek and Station 26 are about to put the world on notice (I hope) with an IPA :grimacing:

The event earlier this year was terrific. Best non-GABF event of the year. Well run, lots of space, tons of good beers.

As of yesterday, La Cumbre was selling Full Nelson bottles for on-site consumption. They're getting a bit long in the tooth, but in my experience, LC's beers hold well over several months.

To be clear, Bosque's Riverwalker IPA is not the one garnering lots of Accolades. That beer is Scale Tipper and it has won the NM IPA challenge in back to back years, beating out Dank, Canteen's Exodus, and every other beer in the state (in public blind tastings). I agree about Riverwalker, it's pretty conventional, as is most of Bosque's regular lineup. I have to give them credit for that lineup though, as it appeals to the average ABQ drinker. I gave Bosque shit for Scale Tipper based on its initial bomber price ($13) and the fact that for me, it's far too similar to Dank and Elevated. Since then, however, they've been pumping out bomber bottles relentlessly and have taken over the mantle as Albuquerque's most exciting brewery. All this while Marble has been more focused on their brewhouse expansion and has pulled back from bottling (they were doing some awesome stuff about a year back: Cuvee Rouge, Tesla, etc.). La Cumbre does awesome beer, but they are a bit constrained by the lack of a pilot system (as are probably Marble and Bosque), which means beyond IPAs, which I enjoy, they aren't doing adjunct imperial stouts and lots of barrel-aged beers, which I, and most of the BA world, are currently suckers for (and which garner all the hype).

You'll have to wait till next fall for Acequia as it was wet-hopped. Scale Tipper's one you should really look forward to trying, but they seem to be focused more on bottling other beers right now than brewing or bottling more Scale Tipper.

Wasn't Comrade and Melvin supposed to be teaming up for something as well? Or did I just imagine that?

I was eyeballing that festival for next year, do you recall if kids were allowed in? I've been to some fests where it's fine, others no.

    Thanks.

I don't offhand. You can reach out to Imbibe for answers. For some reason I can't get to their website at work.
