I was wondering what some go to sites to locate breweries/brewpubs in a general area for some of you may be that are reliable and up to date. I use to use beerme, but it seems to be very laggy lately and many times just plain doesn't work. Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks

I use a combination of Yelp, Google and BA forums to find breweries. I've never found just one app or site that can do all.

Just Google "breweries near XXX". Then it usually brings me back to BA and/or brewery website most of the time.

I like the app Untappd. You can search by local bar, brewery, or the most recent location that a certain beer was tagged as being served. I'm in St. Louis on a business trip, and the app seems to be working pretty well.

Something I just discovered this week, but on Google maps, type in the location and open the map that centers on that place. Then, in the floating search window in the top left, type brewery and hit the magnifying glass. They'll appear on the map. you can even move the map around and more will pop up as you enter a new area.

When you click on a place you'll usually have a links to reviews, website, hours, etc.

Caveat: it probably doesn't have some of the newest ones, and I'm assuming if it's not in google places, it's not there. You also get random additionl things like pubs, brewing supply shops, etc.

I use a combination of the "Nearby" feature on the BA mobile app, and the Nearby Beers/Bars/Breweries feature on Untappd. I'm on the road a lot and this combo has worked well so far.

Someone offered this site recently in a thread:
    www.brewerymap.com

It is a pretty good route planner for a driving vacation too.
