Biscotti Break/Imperial Biscotti Break*/Imperial Doughnut Break

*Yes, I realize that IBB is listed as an imperial stout on here (though it blurs the line and since the base beer is classified as a porter...)

This one or ET imperial Doughnut break. Both are great porters, and both are so thick and flavorful that they could pass for imperial stouts.

So this is a pretty large amount of beers. Too hard to narrow it down for me. Lots of good ones.

That's because they are imperial stouts. It's two names for the same style of beer.

As many have said, Smuttynose Baltic Porter, but Short's Publican Porter and Raven Baltic Porter from McKenzie are running a very close second and third.

Others that are fantastic as well:

Deschutes Black Butte XX - XVI
    Tsarina Esra from De Molen
Sinebrychoff (right there at 7.2% I believe)
    BA Framinghammer

I guess. Most porters just seem more watery than stouts. JMO.

Flying Dog Barrel Aged Gonzo for sure, followed by Smuttynose Baltic Porter, and Tyranena the Devil Made Me Do it. But you can't go wrong with Zywiec Porter for under $2.

Gonzo -- barrel aged, or not. Both outstanding.
Victory at Sea -- Absolutely love this one

Gonzo is great. Smutty Baltic is great. Victory at Sea is phenomenal. Black Butte XXIV and XXV were outstanding. Regular and BA variants of Framinghammer. Grande Cuvée Porter Baltique by Les Trois Mousquetaires is probably second fave, only to Kane's Sunday Brunch, which is one of the best beers I have ever had. It makes the base beer, Morning Bell, seem average, which it is not, at all.

I haven't seen it in a while, I don't think they make it anymore, but Capital Brewery in Madison made an outstanding Baltic porter that I think was somewhere around 9%. It was one of my favorites from them.
