What is your favorite professional sports team, any sport, any league? I'm not looking for your favorite sports city, or team from your alma mater, just one pro team, whose colors you bleed.
    For me-- Philadelphia Eagles

Yeah it's been painful over the years. I was the most excited I've been in a while at the beginning of the season. Then that dreadful first half. They went from last to playoffs and are in a position to make it to the finals for the first time in my lifetime. Fingers crossed....

Yeah- it's usually Mets/Jets. Growing up we were Mets fans, and even saw some Jets games at Shea. My brother and dad stayed with the Jets, but I became one of those odd Mets/Giants fans. '85 and '86 were a fantastic ride for both teams, though, so no regrets .

I bleed Dodgers Blue! Grew up in the bay area and went to at least one game every series the Dodgers were in town for at least 10 years in a row. Loved how much the Giants fans hated the Dodgers fans it made going to the game way more interesting! As a kid I wore #6 in honor of my hero Steve Garvey. And to this day I still display my Jackie Robinson, Sandy Koufax and Fernando Valenzula baseball cards.

It's supposed to be the Steelers...
Followed by the Jets and Giants, but they're all just so disappointing lately...
I was actually feeling pretty optimistic about the Jets right up until they fired their GM; now I'm just feeling like, "same old Jets" - but are they?

Let's see... Owner/imbecile (same old), guy that gets fired (same old)...
But what's going on with the new head coach?

And he's stuck with two free agents that know he didn't think they were worth the money...
    Good times dead ahead...

Steelers need a new coach, Jets need a new owner, and the Giants need a new GM... Optimistically, I see them all hovering around 8-8, but if one's gonna surprise, I'm still thinking the Jets...

Here's to a win on the board and a beer in your hand, cheers...

I am interested to see how Leveon does without Ben and the WR crew they had in Pittsburgh.

Sports fandom run in my blood. Starts with my grandmothers, one was a Sixers fan and the other a Phillies fan. My Mom grew up going to Connie Mack stadium baseball games, she is a diehard Phillies fan and Eagles fan. The Phillies have been a mess but I still support the team and enjoy going to baseball games. I am an Eagles fan since I moved to the east coast, but as a young child I grew up a Niners fan living near San Jose (Montana and Rice, its hard to forget those games).

I was a student at Virginia Tech when Michael Vick played his first year of college football, and honestly I supported him as an Eagle, because I thought he still may be able to play at a good level and amaze Eagles fans like he did for us at Virginia Tech.

I don't watch basketball or hockey much but of course I support the Sixers and Flyers. My car radio is usually on WIP Lol!

In 1974, at the tender age of 9 y/o, my best friend turned me onto sports. We beCAN as Pixburgh Pirates fans, despite living a mere 70 miles from PHL. The Buccos won the NL East & lost to the (much-despised) L.A. Dodgers in the NLCS. By the time baseball was done for us for the year, football had started up & so we adopted Th' Stillers. It was serendipitous as the local NBC station (WGAL-TV) carried their games & my Pops loved football. When they won the Super Bowl that January (1975), we were hooked! We then adopted the Pixburgh Penguins, only to see them write history as the seCANd team to be up 3-0 in a best-of-seven series & lose! 8=O 8=( In late-1976, we were at my maternal grandparents' house for Thanksgiving (or the following day). It was the annual big game: Pitt v. Penn State. I had been groomed since a wee lad to go to PSU, but on this ocCANsion, the light bulb clicked on. "Say, when they say 'Pitt', are they alluding to 'Pixburgh'?" Laughter. At an 11-y/o child! "Do you mean to tell me that there is a school the equivalent of PSU, but in Pixburgh?!?" More laughter. 8=( "In that case, BUMP PSU, I wanna go to Pitt! Boy, I hope they win today! The announcers say that'll put them inna national championship game!" The air suddenly sucked outta the room & you coulda heard a pin drop on a shag rug. It took me a 15.25-year detour through the U.S. Navy, but I am a proud Pitt alumnus with both a B.A. & an M.A.T. & accepted to an online Pitt Law HR cert program next Fall.

Pops has passed & the NFL has passed me by. I'm going with the Pixburgh Penguins! Love me some hockey at any level. HER Bears & Reading Royals are my minor-league teams.

I like WIP because I can get caught up on what is going on in all Philly Sports, plus there are old school sports related guys still on the air every now and then like Rob Cherry and Jody Mac. Sportswriter HOF Ray Didinger is on the air on Saturdays usually, but today he was on with Jody filling in for Ike Reese's show. I have never heard the two of them together so that was particularly notable to me. I'm not in the car in the mornings so I don't listen to the morning show.
