You're talking American reds, right? Lots of folks seemed to listing Irish reds.

Kern's 6th Anniversary Ale (aka Dirty Hippie Imperial Red Ale) followed closely by Nugget Nectar.

Green Flash Hop Head Red and Karl Strauss Red Trolly. Nugget Nectar is in the top 3 though.

Lagunitas Imperial Red is my favorite as of now. It used to be Lagunitas Lucky 13 until they changed the recipe to the blonde ale or whatever it is.
EDIT: Great Lakes Nosferatu is a VERY close #2.

Another vote for Lagunitas Imperial Red. Too bad they're not making it in 2013.

I was going to add Hop Head Red to my list as well, but Green Flash labels it as a red IPA now.

Nosferatu is considered an American strong ale. Ill go with King Pin double red. It doesnt get a lot of love on the ratings here but I think it has an excellent balance and big hop and malt profiles.

I've never met a red that I didn't like so I can't recommend one above another. It must be one of those recipes that is easy to brew and likable.

Not the highest rated on here, but I love Lakefront's Fixed Gear. Revelry from Two Brothers is mighty nice too. Seeing that G'Knight is considered a red. That's prolly the best.

Is it just 2013 that Lagunitas Imperial Red isn't being made? Because there's no trace of it on the site, like they made it an un-beer.

    I love that and Tocobaga.

Nugget nector is my favorite., both cane and abel and revelry from two brothers i liked, hopback is a orignal classic, Rouges santas private reserve was a surprize but for the money its hard to beat Lagunitas Imperial Red.
