Last year I just walked up to 3 Floyds both towards the end and they still had it flowing with most minimum effort.

Anyone know what Russian River Intinction is? Probably won't bother with the line there, but curious on that.

Firestone responded to a comment saying it is a new beer they are debuting. Sauvignon Blanc grapes and Brettanomyces.

I really wish cigar city was pouring jai alai as well. :slight_frown:

Firestone responded about the Russian River beer? Even if that is correct, what about Damsels from BWX?

Yes. They responded in a thread on the Facebook page for the event. I don't think anyone has asked about Damsels. I'm pretty sure it's a collaboration though. @jemwilson can you comment on that?

Interesting. Great list overall per usual, and yet there will be so much more poured that isn't even listed.

This anti-avocado stance may well be the single most outrageous and offensive thing I've seen here on BA. My jimmies are rustled and will remain so for some time.

The list isn't mind blowing, but you know what, I like it. It's solid shit that will have some lines be stupid and enough good shit on the tap handles for me to avoid those shit shows and drink up as much really good beer with little effort.

Still one of, if not the best beer events i go to yearly.

Unite the Funky Damsels is the beer Barrelworks did in collaboration with International Women's Collab Brew Day. Myself and a bunch of other FW gals participated in a blending of a kiwi & cherimoya beer.
Also, the beer list only shows staples. Obviously most breweries bring more than what's listed, but we have no control over special pour times/amounts. Intinction from RR is an imperial pilsner then w/ Sauv Blanc grapes and Brett. The FWIBF App is out, you just need to update it on your phone and all beer descriptions are there. Email coming to ticket holders at noon! Phew I'm exhausted.

Restaurant 4 Hermanos. I went to Cal Poly SLO and my wine and viticulture friend took me here. He said it is where all the migrant workers he worked with at his winery would go. Super legit and authentic.

Well, the Taco Bell does have four stars on Yelp, which is waaaaay higher than any other fast food joint I've ever seen.

Guessing it's a Tuscan Milk or three-wolf moon kind of deal...

(Happy to take any local recommendations, by the way.)

Speaking of the Adelaide Inn, what time does the bottle share usually kick off by the pool on Friday evening?

From check in, homie. That place is ALWAYS jumping. It's midwest pours and "show me yours" style, but if you don't have any share groups, it's all you need.

This will be my third time at the festival but first time hitting the Adelaide share. Do people keep their bottles stashed in coolers and only pull them out if they like what you're pouring? I was (perhaps naively) expecting something a little more open and friendly. I'm planning on bringing some awesome stuff and spreading the wealth...

I find it to be very open and friendly. The pre-event share has people just opening bottles and dropping them off at the table. The hardest part is finding enough light to see what the hell is on that table full of bottles...

It's very open and friendly, but also expect a lot of taking care of their boys first on those more "rar" beers. Which isn't that big a deal. Go in with the mindset of you'll taste something good and not in an attempt to check off uber whales and you'll be more than pleased.

I've wondered why they haven't change the timing since the first year. I'm guessing the chance of rain likely has more of an impact for them than heat. They have done a lot to mitigate the heat every year but it just seems that if they could move the event to sometime in April it would do wonders. That said, I can't even imagine how much time/effort/planning go into making this event such a success so it isn't like they haven't thought of this idea themselves.
