Brown is the distributor, should be here in the next couple of weeks.
Such a great brewery to have in the state! But stay away from the Parabola and the Sucaba...it sucks.
gonna be kinda hard to "be here in the next couple of weeks" without label approval.
I knew Firestone Walker was supposed to make it to Texas this year, but didn't think it would be this early. Does anyone have any knowledge to support the original post?
I've been wanting to get my hands on XVI ever since I read the description a month or two ago.
Walt works for Flix Brewhouse/Homefield Grill in Round Rock, so I'm sure he's going off what his Brown Rep said.
I just want Sucaba.
Please note that the label approval site is slow to update and it can actually show up on shelves before it gets updated to the site.
While it might be true that Brown will eventually their distribitor, I know that nothing is set yet but could be in the next couple weeks. And I certainly would not expect it in the next couple weeks, I am waiting on so many labels to get approved, they just take time. Cheers, it is going to be awesome when they do arrive.
Yea 2 weeks is kind of unrealistic with 0 labels approved as of today...
Good luck finding either Parabola or Sucaba whenever they hit Tejas
Have they chosen a DFW distributor yet?
To hell with DFW What about Houston?
You cats are too hardcore for this brewery.
You think BA Hellfighter was a mad dash. You ain't seen shit yet when Parabola and Sucuba hit the shelves. Body parts everywhere!
Sippin on that Wookey ERRRRR DAY!
That you Han Solo?
Feb 18th is the planned rollout date.
My knowledge is based on the fact that it is factual.
Factual facts are the best kind of facts.
I'll believe in facts when I see factual label approvals.
Yes its right - It is being released on draught on feb 18th.
Wookey Jack! Wookey Jack! Wookey Jack!
TABC has been delaying approvals lately. Several Approvals have been put out day of and even day after beers are "at market". That being said I can't believe FW is already ready to get beer here.
They've just opened their new "Barrelworks" facility... so I believe they're ready to go with expansion.
Anyone hear anything about Abacus? FW's site does not have TX as far as the 2013 release goes. I've heard yes and no from a few people on the subject.
Doubt it. These new beer hoarders have likely never heard of Firestone Walker. Its not local and its not hipster enough with the fancy box and labels.
Good point and let's hope so.
Now nobody tip them off!!!
Copy that. Operation Keep your yap shut in progress. Over
Not to my knowledge.
I have someone on another forum Do'h works for BEK asking about that.
Ballast Point is amazing but I honestly cannot fucking wait for Firestone Walker... I tried Wookey Jack at a tasting with Rubio and The Beerists in Austin and it was amazing.
Wookey whatever, Abacus, Parabola......just give me fresh Union Jack on the shelf all the time and I will be in heaven.
If anyone has access to Trader Joe's, their Mission St pale ale is said to be brewed by Firestone Walker and is very close to the Pale 31 recipe.
Yet, no mention of a distributor for Houston!!
Well Houston is where all the crazy hoarders live so i can't say i feel sorry for you lol.
Because they aren't coming here for a while. Austin and Dallas only.
That is all the more reason to feel sorry for us. It's a mad dash to get anything limited here.
Yeah, I knew it was only going to be available in Austin and Dallas but I thought I would throw that out there anyways.
Noticed in FSW's Facebook they mentioned Houston "by the end of the year"
