Sucaba is currently a shelf beer.

I was in a rush and couldn't talk to Walker as he was entertaining some shoppers. It was cool, however, to see one of the most respected brewers in the country selling his product, one bottle at a time, to unsuspecting soccer moms in the 'burbs. That's beer advocacy right there.

I thought it was funny that the clerk at Spec's was all like "what's this WINE everyone keeps buying?" to Sucaba. LOL.

I got there a little early. They were still setting everything up. I had no idea David was going to be there, so I was caught off guard meeting him during the middle of the day at a HEB.

Ditto! I got there at 2:15 and when the dbc rep asked if I needed any help I pointed at the cart of FW that they pulled out and said "that's what I'm here for!". Really awesome folks.

Maybe he should have spread out to other parts of the city instead of staying in the same area for three days in a row.

    Not bitter or anything.

Went there at 300 and talked with David again, great guy. They were out of it by the time I got there. I'm sure the people in there were wondering what was going on.

He asked where I normally shop and I mentioned south Lamar and whip in amongst others just so he had some perspective other than the chain stores

They probably did that because he's staying somewhere down here I'm assuming

Picked up some Double Jack at the HEB on Parmer/Mcneil on the way home from work, they also had DBA and Union Jack on the shelf.

I know Westgate got a "teaser" drop of DBA, Union Jack, and Double Jack this week... not sure how much is left though.

Draught House has Wookey Jack, Union Jack, DBA and Velvet Merlin as of today.

I think the Sucaba is tapped out. :)

that train has left the station...Sucaba bottles in Austin were a "right place, right time" acquisition, gone in minutes. Hopefully in a couple months we get another round...

Not all. Got me a Parabola in Austin, but it was as they say, limited. Was a bit surprised they had it with them since the site says it is not out yet. Expected Sucaba only.

Really curious how a (case?) of Sucaba shows up randomly at HEB Hancock. Was it a transfer from another HEB that wasn't supposed to receive it or did it get lost during the rollout? I don't know...don't get me wrong...glad I scored a bottle but really strange how it just showed up one day.
