Went to pick another up for a fellow BA... all gone .
Dont worry, I think there will be more
I bought one from that Hancock HEB by accident. Accident? Yeah, too little sleep somehow crossed the Sucaba and the Parabola in my dead head. I know, I know. Both have same type of box is all I can think. Anyway, now I have one more than expected. Maybe a gift for family or friend... or I drink it too. Figure it out later.
Wah, I accidentally bought one of the best barleywines in the world.
I lol'd at this
It is a very good one indeed! So good, I've bought a glass at Pinthouse for an acquiantance who wanted to try but let the price scare em. And yeah not a bad oops(?) but already had enough o that one..or so I thought. Not greedy or hoarder. prefer to leave for others that need, but was just one. Did some inventory, some drinking and giving away some extra DR12 and a few others today to coworker. Got a little room. Move along, nothing to see here. Now for the Parobala, be patient self.
If I read your post in Christopher Walkens voice, it becomes all kinds of entertaining.
Fresh bottles of Double Jack (2 weeks old) were being put in at Arbor Walk this afternoon...that's amazing stuff!
Any 4-packs yet?
Not that I saw.
Union Jack at Gabriel's San Marcos. This makes me happy. Hopefully the limiteds will follow.
Want the Wooky
I'd want the Wookey.
I want the Wookey. Love it!
Thats what she.....
sigh, never mind.
When is Wookey Jack coming to town? Parabola? Any notions?
No idea on Parabola, but I was told last week that Wookey should be here this week (bottles)
Parabola isn't released until next month...April 12th maybe? I would imagine that any Parabola that makes it here would be a few weeks behind the release date, similar to other west coast special releases that we get.
It's already label approved since I bought one at Spec's during the initial roll out. I would think that it would get here sooner. Haven't Double Jack bottles been delivered within ~10 days of bottling or am I thinking of a different beer?
Yea you're right about the label approval...I didn't think of that. Double Jack is produced in far greater numbers than Parabola though so probably easier to get it here faster. I hope it's not much of a delay from release date to our shelves (or behind the counter)...I have a lot more faith in Brown than pretty much all the other distributors in our state so that bodes well for our chances at Parabola sooner than later.
There were only 2 cases of 2012 Parabola released in Austin during the rollout. I'd expect the 2013 release next month.
I just want the rest of their catalog to hit here. Want a 6-pack of Velvet Merlin.
East 1st Grocery received some more FSW:
Sunrise got more FW stuff today as well
Man, I'm pretty jealous of you guys. I sure hope this stuff makes it's way to Houston soon.
Ugh have to wait til weds hope it's still avail
Finally some 6-packs!
Brown Dist had the sixers in the warehouse a while now - decided to release them today (April 1st)...
Any Wookey Jack been spotted anywhere other than East 1st and Sunrise?
Walker's Reserve Porter and a little bit of Sucaba (in addition to DJ and the rest of the regulars) at Hancock. Way to go, Nick!
There's some Wookey Jack at Specs Airport.
Scott at Specs RR emailed that they have it a few days ago (havent been in since, though)
There's bombers of Wookie, Double Jack and Union Jack at CM Westgate along with sixers of DBA and Union.
Lots of Sucaba left at HEB Hancock. He was putting more on the shelves as I grabbed one.
This prompted me to head down there and buy it all.
They actually had too much to buy all of it, but I tried, dammit!
I might have to go and grab another.
Shit I'm really tempted to go grab one right now but can't leave the house as I'm watching the dog currently (this sounds trivial but it's a 5 month old Great Dane with way too much curiosity), may have to risk it.
Bring him with you. It's Austin, they let dogs in stores ther, right? lol
Not sure if they let them in supermarkets I should just say he's my service dog. He provides the service of helping me pick out beer
