This morning I thought it would be a good idea to crack a 2013 Rye on Rye from Boulevard.

It'll be finishing off the leftover growler of Lost Abbey - Avant Garde from last night. I anticipate my first beer of 2013 will be slightly oxidized.

Opened a Black Butte XXIV about 20 minutes ago. Incredible beverage. Maybe a bad idea for breakfast though...

Sampled some of my "Reverend Craig" Bourbon Barleywine from the secondary fermenter. Hops are still overpowering everything else, but with another 5-8 months of aging on those toasted oak cubes, this will be one helluva beer.

The whole bar did a Baudoinia Stout Toast at midnight. Up until that point we were enjoying an awesome vertical of Bourbon County '06 - '12. Much thanks to Anonymous1 for helping me complete this at the last minute.

Firestone Walker XV was the one that was in my glass at the witching hour. I bought two of them, had one last year on NYE, one this year. My taste has changed significantly in the past year, so i cant accurately compare it. but the one last night was tremendous. just blown away by how it aged.
My first for the new year, thought I was opening a Red's Rye but it did smell right, guess I should look at the label first...
First beer of 2013 was a Rochefort 10 at about 12:02

I believe we were sipping on Chocolate Rain at midnight followed soon after by Golden Blend!
