Finished 2012 through midnight with a Stone 12.12.12. Starting 2013 today with a delicious Williamsburg AleWerks Cafe Royale Stout brewed with coffee and aged in bourbon barrels. Yummm.
Nice, I actually had a Celebration, then a glass or two of Papago's Elsie's (from a growlers) Then about half a 750 of Petrus Pale. But that was all last night before midnight. Only had champagne after midnight and didn't drink much as I had to drive.
My first beer of 2013.
I like starting 2013 in Arizona with a New Glarus beer.
Going with a 2012 Cuvee Van De Kaizer Blue from last year. Not counting the PBR I had at the bar last night which technically came after midnight, 2013 started for me after I woke up today

After much consideration I've decided to make my first beer of the year the Sorachi Ace from Brooklyn Brewing.
Poured an 06' Avery Beast and an 11' KBS at the same time.
The Beast is like a freakin' aged Port. So good and KBS is...well KBS!
Rodenbach Grand Cru. First time ever.

Super Fresh Pliny, I had one left over from last night. For the Rose Bowl I have one fresh growler of Alpine Nelson that we will crack.
Slept through the new year because of my f'd up work schedule. Got up this morning and the gf and I headed over to haymarket. Had a couple of the angel envy BA stouts and a shot of angel's envy. A good start to the new year.
