Any tips for a first timer to MBCC? (and first timer to Denmark)

Got Pink tix so as not to feel rushed through a single session. Curious about surrounding beer week events happening in the city and where to find out about them?

    All info welcome! Thanks!!

All the Mikkeller events will be posted all over social media. As for other events, just follow the top bars (Himmeriget, Taphouse, Fermentoren and a few more)
    and you won't miss anything.

At the festival itself, drink LOTS of water (bring your own!). Even though pours are small the beers average 8-9% abv so just one session can get you pretty hammered since there's easily 150 beers per session. Some whales tend to run out quickly, like Bourbon Vanilla Dark Lord that sold out even before regular ticket holders even got in and The Purple Kriek which de garde had only a few bottles of. Lines for DL variants, Bokkereyder and Omnipollo will be insane, up to 30 minutes at worst, while breweries like Alesmith, Cigar City, The Alchemist, Tired Hands etc have basically no line at all.

A few points to start with, just ask any questions if you have more and I'll do my best to answer

Last year Mikkeller releases an App with the events, beer list for each session, maps...etc. The app is (obviously) limited to their own bars and events.
If you want to know about events in other locations (Brus, Taphouse, Himmeriget...etc.) the best option is the one Nische said, follow Facebook or Instagram.
    See you there!

Don't tip. Service charge is included in all prices.
Don't drive a car in Copenhagen. Public transport is good and bicycles rule the streets.
We kicked Uber out of the country.
There is no food in bars.
Danes will open up and talk to you - eventually.
We can't help you on Stockholm advice - none of us has ever been there.
You can drink in public. If the weather is good (rarely) buy some beer and find a park. CPH is a very green city.
Skip Taphouse but add Fermentoren, Rbabarrab and Ørsted Ølbar to above lists of non-Mikkeller locations.
I will tell you where you can find regular Cantillon on the shelf but only in a PM.
Every year Omnipollo has the longest lines at MBCC and nobody can explain why.
For craft beer between 3AM and 5AM go to Tryk Bar.
