Flour From Brewery Spent Grains in NYC

    Jackie O's in Athens has been making their pizzas from spent grains for years (almost 10?). Sadly, these days some breweries have actual flour byproducts.

    Not to get too political given what's going on in the United States right now -

    but look at this success story - an immigrant from Ecuador (and a woman with a doctorate degree no less) and her friends, mostly immigrants as well, have come up with a way to utilize spent grain within the area of the city of New York, rather than shipping it out to farms further away. More importantly this could be used across the globe in areas where spent grain doesn't have use as an animal feed.
