PAWTUCKET, RI (March 12, 2014) – Foolproof Brewing Company announced that its popular farmhouse ale La Ferme Urbaine (LFU) will be available at retail next week as a year-round beer in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. In addition to draft and 22 oz. bottle format, LFU is now being sold in four-packs of 12 oz. cans.

“There was such a demand for this beer that we knew we had to make it available year round,” said Foolproof’s president and founder Nick Garrison. “With the introduction of cans, we’re able to reach a broader audience with LFU and also sell it at a lower cost to beer lovers in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.”

LFU, short for La Ferme Urbaine (French for “the urban farm”), is a 7.8% alcohol Belgian-style saison that features a complex blend of German hops, pilsener and pale malts, wheat, rye, oats, and spelt. The beer pours a hazy straw color and delivers a spicy, dry finish. Building off of Foolproof’s experience-based brewing philosophy, LFU is designed as a refreshing post-workday beer. The suggested retail prices for LFU are $9.99 for four-packs of cans and $6.50 for 22 oz. bottles.

Foolproof Brewing Company’s beers are distributed in Rhode Island by C&C Distributors; in Connecticut by Northeast Beverage Corporation; and in Massachusetts by the Massachusetts Beverage Alliance. MBA consists of five wholesale partners – Atlas Distributing Inc., Burke Distributing, Colonial Wholesale Beverage, Commercial Distributing Company, and Merrimack Valley Distributing Company.

four-packs of 12 oz and not 16 oz cans ? Ugh. If not they could have put it in 6 packs. There are 6 pack saisons that exsist.

Hopefully they're carbonated. I've had two 6-packs from Foolproof that were flat, and my brother-in-law just had one a few weeks ago too. I like their beers and drank Barstool a lot in the summer as it's a nice beach beer, but inconsistency is an issue.

McCoy Stadium has this. I know they are based in Pawtucket so it makes sense but still didnt expect to see a saison at a minor league game. 8.50 for a small cup yeah I had to pass.

Yeah ditto on the price, especially since they sell Green Monstah for 6.50. I stick to the latter.
