Fou, nath, and LPF were all available for take-away about a month after the sale.

Did you find any good bottles to take away today?

Does anyone have any news on when Vigneronne and St Lamvinus will be release this year?

Quick question: My future wife and I will be spending some time in Brussels for our honeymoon, and we both want to go to Cantillon at least twice during our trip.

I was wondering, can you just show up to the brewery to drink beers, or do you have to do a tour to get into the taproom?

    Thanks so much in advance!

No need for a tour but it's worth your time, and it comes with two fills.

Warning that it's not much of a "taproom", it's just a small area with a handful of small tables and chairs- there was not enough seats for everyone that was on our tour once it finished. So most had to stand around while drinking the samples and subsequent bottles.

Also, while it's a relatively short walk from the Brussels-Midi/South train station, I guess it's not a great neighborhood as there was a warning sign in the brewery that if you drove, not to leave any valuables in your car.

I guess it’s been a while since you’ve been there. They have the old on-site tasting area in the front and a brand new large (and beautiful) tasting room in the back in front of a barrel room. This room is usually open on weekends.

When did this open? You're not talking about the area facing the to-go sales counter, right?

No, it’s in the back. If you are going to the bathroom you can turn left down the stairs to the toilets or turn right and go up a few stairs to the new on-site tasting room. It was finished in 2018

Huh, that's pretty cool, although I'd probably still prefer to sit in the old area when it's not too crowded. I just took a look at the new one and the old one just seems more quaint and rustic. It just has a nicer atmosphere to it in my opinion, but the new one still turned out nice.

Are the beers listed as “available at the brewery” the bottles available to go? And is this updated consistently?

I think they stopped updating their webpage (at least for anything but the regulars) around the time of the 2017 fall release of the Fou, Nath and LPF box which led to quite some madness at the brewery.

I believe there is a different forum for that and you can find it under IP Trade International. I'm not being an idiot, just trying to redirect you to the correct forum to increase your chances of landing a trade....

Not active enough meaning not having made enough posts on BA? Genuinely wondering as I’m unaware you needed a certain number of post to suggest an international trade.

Please back to topic and feel free to PM the owners of BA or a mod active in the trading forum for help.

I was surprised as well. Wasn’t on the board before I went on the last tour of the day. By the time I got back it was up there. Was pretty happy to be able to buy them.

I have family that will be in Brussels for 3 or so days in late March and they’ve offered to stop by the brewery for me. I’m trying to make it easy as possible for them so I was hoping people could assist:

    1. Is there parking at the brewery? They plan on having a rental car.
    2. Do they still sell the branded 12 bottle wine checks, and are they regularly available? And they have a styrofoam insert and wheels?
    3. If the wine checks are sold out, is my best option to rush deliver a lazeene, or is there a way to ship easily to the US?
    4. Would they generally be allowed to purchase 12 bottles based on the regular limits? Obviously hoping for some more difficult to find bottles, but I’d be happy with a mix of 12 Gueze/Kriek/RdG.

    1. There is parking around the brewery. Not specifically for the brewery.

    2. Yes they do still sell them. Email them ahead of time to check on availability. They have styrofoam insert and wheels.

    3. Lazenne or there is a BPost around the corner from the brewery ( they will need packing supplies most likely). Or if it’s not a Saturday they can drop off the bottles at Brussels Beer Project for shipping and packaging by Belgium In A Box.

    4. They will be allowed to purchase 12 bottles based on regular limits. (6 Gueuze, 3 RdG, 3 Kriek). Then you can swap any of those for allocations of GCB, Vig, etc if they are on the board when your family is there.
