Ok, I swore there was a thread for the actual event itself, but maybe I'm confusing it with all the Bolt Cutter threads? I don't know, so if that's the case, sorry. I saw a few people mention this particular, hard to find website on Founders' page, and I've been checking it every so often to see if any changes were made. I just looked at it 5 minutes ago, and the page is now saying that the event is free:

I was under the impression that this was to be a ticketed event, like the Black Party or the Breakfast Stout Breakfast. Can anyone confirm this at all? I'd love for it to be free; they're doing the event right on my 29th birthday and that'd be a nice gift from them.

I think they said bolt cutter release would be ticketed and is separate from the anniversary party

Interesting that it's free, I'm all about it.

Lookin like the bottle release is going to be a seperate day now.

Ok, that makes a little more sense then. If memory serves, I think they're going to have Bolt Cutter on tap at the party, so I'll definitely be trying some first before I decide whether or not to get a bottle.

    Thanks guys!

How much of a gong show are these parties? Looking to make my way down to celebrate my bday, how early (on Saturday the 17th) should I/we be looking to be at Founder's for?

Dont know it is founders so it could be pretty bad...did you see what happened at this years KBS release? Theyre doing tickets now though so it may be better.

There still isn't a date for this right?

Did they even say when they will be selling the tickets?

    November 17th.

The event is all day, so I guess it just depends at what time you get there. I'm sure there'll be a long initial line, but as the day progresses, I'm thinking there won't be too terrible of a wait.

The page says it's free, so I don't think there's any tickets to be sold. Like BreakingBad said, I'm pretty sure the Bolt Cutter release is going to be ticketed and on a different day.

My bad. In that case, I think (this is just a theory based on their past releases) it'll be released the following Monday or Tuesday.

Bout a month away on this now. Party starts at 11am it appears - for someone never having been to a Founders event like this before, how early should I look to be showing up (8? 9?).

Also, anyone coming from other states/other parts of MI that want to set up an IP trade for some local beers/growlers?

I don't think it will be that crazy. No bottle release so I think it will be busy, but not KBS Day '12 crazy. I'm not going, but it I was I wouldn't think anything about the time that you go, I think you will be fine. There really is no benefit to showing up early unless you just want to hang out and be one of the first ones to try it (well, almost a week after people in bottles). I would just stroll in around 11:30 and I think you would be fine. Am I wrong on this?

if you want a table then yah your gonna wanna get there early, how early im not sure. it seems like most people stick around for quite awhile so getting tables is pretty hard to come by.
