Founders Bolt Cutter 15th Anniversary Barley Wine

I'm sure they'll have plenty left over. It seems like they had Better Half snifters for a long time after the beer itself was gone.

 

Is anyone looking for a bottle for Tuesday's release? I decided I don't want my two bottles, but will make the 45 mile drive each way for a founders shirt and glass in exchange and sell you the bottles at cost.

 

Can't wait for the 15th Anny party, grab my bottles, grab a few of the glasses and the Wood&Wild Ale Fest this weekend. It shall be of epic proportions!!!

I picked up two bottles yesterday, super easy, but have to say I was not thrilled about the idea of spending $46 for two bottles without the chance to taste this beer on tap first. If that isn't faith in a brewery I don't know what is. Would it have been so hard for the ticket to also allow you to purchase a snifter on tap too?

 

Lets share a beer or two on Friday either at Founder's or HopCat...

Call me crazy, but I wasn't all that impressed with the glass.

I also agree that I wish I would have gotten a chance to get a glass on tap with the purchase of it. Not that hard to do, just punch the ticket.

If its like the Better Half glass, then it really is unimpressive.

 

Haven't tried it yet but secured two bottles via ticket from the brewery on Monday. Big party (apparently on the 17th) but that's also the Santa parade so I'll be busy.

I saw these pop up around here...didn't realize it was released early and that it's cheaper than MSRP. I have seen them in 2 different places now. strange.

No, no one knows because Founders wouldn't even give people a sample taste when they picked up their bottles!

 

You have a bottle. Crack it open, drink it and review it. If I had a bottle Id be doing the same.

 

Instead of begging people for reviews, maybe you could just open it and try it without knowing what the general consensus is, which would sway your opinion.

 

Does anyone know the release date outside of the brewery? I heard most places have had it sitting in there warehouse?

Being one of the four current reviews, I stand by my score. Wasn't trying to hype it up at all. Drank my first bottle and the second is going out in a BIF. I'm done trading too so no more BC for me. It really is that good.

 

There is a Holiday Inn on Pearl Street not too far from Founder's. Not sure about room availability or what "moderately priced" is, but you might want to check there.

 

I had it last... Pretty solid .. Like a refined Bigfoot but sweeter and with a phenomenal mouth feel

 

Thus why I said YMMV. Not saying you are.
