Was Founders Breakfast Stout bottle dated this year. Last years bottles have Bottle dates in green on the neck but all the Breakfast stout in my stores this January have NO bottle Date on the Neck. ( BTW The new shipment of Imperial stout has a bottle date.) So did founders not bottle date these years batch or is both the stores in my area putting like 2 or 3 year old breakfast stout on the shelf when founders hadn't yet bottle dated their bottles.

So please go to your cellar and check your bottles NOW : ) And report back!

Yes, it was bottle dated. Yellow ink. It often wears off

I have bought a lot of Founders stuff and Steimie is right. Their dates wear off a LOT! I have bad luck when trying to read them even at the store of purchase... It's too bad, because that is important to a lot of us.

None of the bottles I saw from October had date stamps on the bottle neck for some reason, earlier September bottles were all clearly marked. Also noticed this for the newer Porter as well not having dates on the bottles. Probably some issue at the brewery Id guess.

I bought a case here in Chicagoland back in September that had bottle dates of 8- something and were near impossible to read. Wonder if they are now changing up their ink/location/process/etc.?

Mine are very clear, on the neck in yellow ink.

I too have had many problems with the yellow ink wearing off. I'm convinced some shops wipe these off manually, but have no proof outside of the date being smudged on entire sixpacks.

Speaking of FBS dates, does anyone know the last batch to be made?

Most of the bottles that I saw during the first two months of the release had dates on them. Later on, I saw a lot of bottles with the dates worn off completely. Last week I bought a four pack that was dated in December.
